Except… I didn’t research properly before buying… most slices of bread are too tall for this little toaster, meaning the bread slice sticks out the top by about an inch (and so I need to toast on a low setting once, then flip the bread 180° for a second round of toasting). A bit annoying when you’re busy.

I use this kettle as a backup, and it gets the job done. It’s a bit plain in terms of design, but it boils water quickly and efficiently. The 1.7L capacity is perfect for most needs, and it’s easy to use. Not the most exciting kettle, but it’s reliable and works well when you need it.

This is not a high rating piece of kit with bells and whistles but it does the job of boiling water very efficiently. One thing to watch out for though is the fact that it does not switch off automatically on being picked up mid-boil to use almost boiled water. You must make sure that it is switched off before returning it to it’s connecting point otherwise it will continue to heat and although it will switch itself off when it gets really hot, it will nevertheless come back on again after some cooling. It will continue to do this indefinitely and could be a safety hazard although I had left it like this overnight and no disaster occurred except it was quite warm in the morning.

Disappointing. Normal thick sliced bread doesn’t fit in the toaster. You have to toast one half then turn it over whilst avoiding cremating the bread!!! Not even normal crumpets fit in it. Pay extra for better options. This one went into the cupboard never to be seen again until I move out and find someone I can palm it off to or send to the charity shop!
