This is a gift for someone so I can’t comment on the function until she tries it, I’m a bit worried after reading some of the reviews, so will amend this one if they have the same issues. As far as the quality and look goes, it’s a nice looking kettle and feels good quality. 4* for now until it’s tested

This is a good sized kettle that boils quite quickly. The lid fits snug by clicking into place so there’s no fear of it falling off as you pour the water out like some kettles can. It swivels easily on the base. It is a nice clean looking white that will suit any décor which is good. A light comes on once the switch is down which is really helpful especially if you don’t hear very well. Overall a nice kettle, but its a bit pricey.

I’ve been using the De’Longhi Eclettica Kettle for a couple of weeks now, and while it looks great with its sleek, shiny finish, it’s not without its imperfections. The 1.7L capacity is ideal, and the 360-degree swivel base is super handy. However, it does take a little longer to boil than I expected for a 3000W model. The anti-scale filter is a nice touch, but the lack of a loud alert when boiling could be improved.

We needed an additional kettle and ordered this to fill the void and its great. My husband likes the additional trim and says it looks stylish however we have removed it as I personally wasn’t as keen – obviously a matter of personal choice.
The kettle is not too heavy as some can be especially when full of water and it looks lovely (without the trim – in my opinion). It makes no more noise than other kettles and not much more noise than a very expensive one we treated ourselves to for our kitchen so happy with the noise levels. It is easy to read the water levels and they are accurate and overall I can’t knock it. Might be considered a bit high on price for a fairly standard kettle but you are also paying for the brand and we have had De’Longhi products before and they good for the mid value range.

2 design faults on this kettle, 1 lid needs 2 hands to take it off, 2 you cannot see how much water is in the kettle as the handle blocks your view, not good.

Defective! I wish I’d read the reviews before buying. Like many others have found the switch to turn on the kettle is defective – it won’t stay down and therefore the kettle won’t turn on. Obviously a design fault so my recommendation is DO NOT BUY.

This is excellent. The build quality is great*, it’s boils like most other 3KW kettles and it looks gorgeous. With that said i didn’t like the saucer surround on the base so i didn’t attach it. For me it spoilt the clean aesthetics which i really like plus it took up more room on the worktop.
*The quality is generally great but the top silver knob and boil lever are plastic. I’m not sure if there are heat transfer reasons why this is, but for a £49.99 kettle at the time of my review that seems a bit cheapy vs more premium metal.
The instructions are a picture guide vs a written manual and it’s actually quite good. They’re clear, easy to understand and cover everything that is needed. The first step being to wash the filter separately and then boil the kettle full three times before first use.
The use as noted is good, it heats up like your average 3KW kettle and the pour from the spout is decent. It’s not gushing but is also not constrained which is a bonus if needing to fill a pan at more than a trickle. I do think the water gauge placement is awful though under the handle where it’s located. For me i’m watching the top filling of the kettle to make sure i’m not missing the opening, but i also expected to watch the hand obscured gauge too. A gauge on either side suitable for both left and right-handed use would have been far more practical and it wouldn’t spoilt the look if done well.
Overall a decent, good looking kettle that works well albeit a couple of small niggles for me.
.edit. Added a 2 min video of the kettle boiling with 0.75L of water inside. It took circa 1:40mins from cold to boiled. The boil LED appears to flash in the video but in person it’s static.

I was interested to review this kettle having read others reviews and thought perhaps we were being sent a bit of a lemon. However, once I am packed the kettle, I was pleasantly surprised. First of all, it’s very stylish to look at and the lid comes off with no more difficulty than our current kettle. The liquid levels are marked clearly on the side of the kettle so you can see exactly how much water you are boiling. It’s comfortable to hold in your hand and lift and also boiled the water quickly with noise that you would expect from most modern kettles. My only gripe is the weird trim they provide you to put around the base of the power supply. It makes it look like a cheap plastic doily which ruins the overall look of the kettle. So we’ve removed this and I just using it with the base as it is. I can only assume modifications have been made to this kettle since previous reviews because the issues with the lid and they’re being no measurement display have been rectified. It’s a nice neutral kettle and would fit with most interiors.
