This is my second of these – the first has started to leak, after ten years of hard use, but we liked it so much that we’ve just done a like for like replacement. What we like: the size as it has a very small footprint; ease of cleaning; adjustable fill volumes; automatic switch-off; takes Nespresso-compatible capsules. Minor negative: larger mugs don’t fit under the spout.
As an aside we have recently bought a Dualit capsule recycling gadget – coffee grounds go in the garden, aluminium goes in the recycling, eco-credentials go up several notches.

Nowhere, prominently, when I was buying did it say it had a Continental electric plug. Useless in UK and now they are deducting the postage on my return. Really not on.

I bought this machine on the recommendation of a friend and thought it couldn’t possibly be as good as she claimed but I was wrong. As a lifelong coffee addict I have been through many coffee machines over the years, some of which have cost five times as much as this one so my expectations were low. It was therefore a lovely surprise to find that this machine produces fantastic coffee at a bargain price. Previous coffee machines have also been so big that they have dominated my work top in the kitchen, whereas this machine will be easily accommodated in the majority of kitchens. I would highly recommend this product and just wish I had discovered this gem of a coffee machine earlier as I could have saved a lot of money.

Machine itself looks good (and makes good coffee, we’ve used one for years) – though does have a Type E plug so it arrives with an adaptor for UK sockets you fit yourself (needs to be screwed into the adaptor element). The free capsules arrived crushed by the machine, so the whole machine and packaging was covered in coffee grounds and I had to bin most of the capsules (too deformed) and clean the machine – rather annoying. And of course no way to note this on Amazon for a replacement of that element without returning the whole machine. Irritating.
