I can’t give a comparison as I have never owned one before. Or a long term review as I have only had it a just over a week.
Battery I used was a 5ah and I was impressed by the duration, fully charged I spend about half an hour using it and I only used the first of the three lights worth of battery power.
It is nice and light, and there are three levels of safety to stop you from accidentally turning it on.
So far very pleased with this tool.

Sturdy built, heavy-duty thicker cutting-blade compared to other brands. I already had 3 x 5Ah batteries from a DeWalt grinder so I only had to buy the saw €160. Flabberghasted about the high quality, performance alike 230V machines. Don’t regret this purchage for a second and highly recommendable…Greetz from Holland.

Very pleased with this tool, bought to replace a two stroke machine. The difference is amazing. Lightweight and easy to manage, very maneuverable. As it is a bare unit I have a choice of batteries depending on what is more applicable at the time… weight or length of charge.
The safety switches work well so it can’t be operated single handed, and if you take either hard off the machine it will stop.
It’s quite powerful and easily handled the hedges and shrubs I needed to trim back, but it is only a hedge trimmer and not for pruning thick stems.

The media could not be loaded.
Despite the description saying it’s a brushless motor, it isn’t.
Mega-noisy, you’ll need ear defenders.
Lots of yellow flashes shooting around inside once the trigger is pressed which lessened as it was initially used but still there.
Couldn’t cut a hedge for toffee, it kept getting held up on larger twigs as the end of the cutting blade doesn’t have a guide to sweep it past obstructions. It wasn’t a particularly thick hedge either, Cherry Laurel, and a few straggly bits of Bay, only managed about 3ft of it before I gave up with it. As heavy as my two stroke hedge trimmer.
Needs two hands to use due to the safety bits on it, plus there’s a spring catch lever on the trigger which needs moving forward with a finger before you can squeeze the trigger.
Returned for a refund
