  • Multi-stage Infant seat – your LiteClik30 XT SafePlus is perfect for a newborn and intended for use from 4 lbs. to 30 lbs., or up to 30 inches.
  • Automotive grade high-strength steel – We took our famous Radian steel core and adapted it for an infant car seat to offer the best protection for your child on the journey ahead.
  • SafePlus Engineering – Our steel anti-rebound bar reduces rebound rotation and provides a mandated use of the top-tether for an ultra-safe install for your little one.
  • Quick and simple installation with confidence – Two bubble indicators and a two-position leveling foot system help you achieve the best angle in your vehicle.
  • Premium LATCH connectors and EasyPath belt lock off – ensure your infant car seat installation is secure. Can also be installed with an adult passenger seat belt in situations where you don’t have a base installed, such as in a ride-share vehicle or taxi.

It’s very tippy… I don’t want to go through the hassle of returning it.. so I will have no choice but to use it for now

This was a nice start, but it didn’t meet our needs in the end. There was a little back and forth with the return, but ultimately the seller took care of us. Thank you!

My point of comparison for infant car seats is the Chicco KeyFit30, which I feel is a fairly well-known and well-tested car seat. This car seat is actually quite similar and feels high quality.

    Car Seat 5/5:
The car seat itself is great. The cushioning is plentiful, especially if you are using the infant insert. This is what you’d find in a more premium car seat, as the cheaper car seats tend to have very thin cushions. The seat itself has easy-to-use straps that loosen/tightening like most car seats. It’s also very lightweight (without the base) and easy to carry. While it feels premium, there are some things that can be better. The handle has some wiggle in the top position, which the KeyFit30 did not. And the handle and sunshade get in the way of each other.

    Sunshade 4/5:
For the most part, it’s actually quite good. It pulls forward quite a bit, giving your infant full coverage. This is more than the KeyFit offers. However, deploying it causes some clicking sounds, which is not great if you are trying not to wake up the baby.

    Base 4.5/5:
The base itself is easy to adjust, has an attached anti-rebound bar (some KeyFit version have one). It comes with LATCH connects attached to the bottom that are easily deployed. It comes with a bubble level. All of these things are important because one of the most important safety components of a car seat is that they are easy to install. Both the LATCH and seat belt install options are easy to use, especially with the blue seatbelt clamp component. It is rather narrow compared the height once the car seat is in place, which is why some may say it wobbles. But if you fasten the seat belt tightly AND use the top tether, there should be very limited movement.

    Installation 5/5:
As mentioned in the base part, it’s key that the installation portion is simple. This really can’t get much simpler. The base comes with the LATCH connectors, which are excellent. The LATCH connectors are locking and require you to pull the red string to unlock. Compare this to some cheaper J-hook LATCH connectors that don’t lock. If you choose the seatbelt install, it just loops into the blue portion that then clamps down on the seat. No routing of the seatbelt oddly through the seat/base.

    Comfort 5/5:
My daughter is on the higher end of the weight spectrum for this car seat. But she fits and she seems comfortable in the car seat.

    Docking/Removing 5/5:
The car seat snaps into the base easily and reliably. To release it, the lever is on the base (unlike KeyFit, which is on the seat) and the car seat pulls right up. When attached, it feels like a solid unit.

Overall, this is an excellent premium car seat. There are some minor issues that don’t affect function and safety.

We’ve always been avid Diono car seat customers. I was super excited to use this car seat and got it for Christmas, but after 4 months of now using it, I’m not a fan of this infant carrier. I’ve followed the instructions to a T and can’t get the base to stay level and secure in our minivan. The carrier handle is loose and moves back and forth. It “rolls” backwards when we put the carrier on the floor or other surface to buckle/unbuckle my baby, so my baby tips or rolls backwards while sitting in the carrier. Not a great safety feature. It’s also complicated to get the carrier to click into the base. We have to press it down hard to get it attached.

The only pros I feel I can honestly say are the head and infant supports are really nice, my baby doesn’t mind sitting at the angle it is, and it’s not too heavy.

Overall, I’m not a fan of it, but right now we can’t afford a different car seat for my baby so we will keep using it until we can figure out something else.
