At the lower end of the price spectrum, you can get laptops with 4Gb of RAM. Hopeless: they spend the whole time with the wheel spinning. And you used to be able to get machines with a HD of 32Gb at which level the OS was free. That failed on the first Windows update before even putting any files on it. Then they went to a minimum of 64Gb, but that was pretty soon nowhere near enough. I couldn’t upgrade from Windows 10 to 11 on a machine with almost nothing on it. But I didn’t want to get a premium HP or Dell laptop so I tried this one. It comes with 16Gb of RAM which is generous. And a 500Gb hard drive. So i’m expecting this to last several years. It’s beautifully made, and packed with features like Touch ID on the trackpad. And it’s very slim, compared to the clunky laptops of the past.

I bought this to take notes during my lectures at university and I am so happy with the price as it feels like such good value for money. The screen is 15.6 inchs and has brilliant clarity, virbant with colours and good with deep blacks which is hard to find at this price point. I found that 16GB ram more then enough for the programs I was using it for, with very little issue running multiple programs at once even a few demanding ones, I also used this to stream a few things and it was seamless without any issues or stuttering even when using programs in the background. The usb 3.0 is so useful for fast data transfer and it having bluetooth was great as I could connect wireless devices with ease, I also made use of the mini hdmi which is conveniently next to a memory card slot which I also made use of. I also love the fact there is a finger print scanner as an option for a password which is awesome and made me feel secure with my notebook. Another feature that I absolutly love is the backlight on the keyboard, the keys feel nice to the touch and arent too loud during lessons, and its not just boring old white but there are colour several settings and even while using the backlight feature I found the laptop would last around 4/5 hours without being charged which was more then enough for a whole lesson. The notebook is also very light and easy to transport which is a huge bonus as I have many lessons to use it in and dont want to be lugging somthing heavy between rooms. So I am happy to recommend people looking for good value for money and a practical notebook to use daily.

I have been using this 15.6-inch laptop for a few weeks now, and I must say I’m genuinely impressed. The first thing that caught my attention was the screen quality — the UHD display is crisp and vibrant, making it perfect for everything from browsing the web to working on detailed spreadsheets. I have even watched a few movies on it, and the visuals are stunning for a laptop in this price range.
Performance-wise, it runs incredibly smoothly, thanks to its quad-core processor (which can reach speeds of up to 3.4GHz) and 16GB of DDR4 RAM. I often have multiple tabs open while switching between Excel, Zoom, and Word, and it doesn’t lag at all. The 512GB SSD is a huge plus, it boots up in seconds and gives me plenty of space for documents, media, and software.
One of my favourite features is the fingerprint unlock. It’s quick, secure, and super convenient — I no longer need to type my password every time. The backlit keyboard is another thoughtful addition, especially for working in low-light environments. I have used it during late-night study sessions and while travelling, and it makes a noticeable difference. Connectivity is solid, featuring two USB 3.0 ports, a Mini HDMI port (which I use to connect to a larger monitor), and stable WiFi and Bluetooth connections. I have had no issues with file transfers or pairing devices.
The build is slim and lightweight, under 4 lbs, so it easily fits into my backpack without weighing me down. The battery life provides approximately 3 to 4 hours of steady use, which is decent for lectures or working at a café, and the power-saving modes help extend it further.
Overall, this laptop has been an excellent investment. It’s powerful enough for both school work and general productivity, stylish and portable, and packed with features I didn’t expect at this price. Highly recommended for students and professionals alike!

This laptop has a clean, straightforward design and comes with a decent specification for the price. The full HD display is clear, and the backlit keyboard is a nice touch, especially in low light. It runs quietly and doesn’t overheat during normal use. The fingerprint reader works without fuss, and the overall feel of the keyboard is comfortable. Setup was quick and uneventful—ready to use out of the box.
Performance-wise, it has been handling daily tasks well, including browsing, document work, and video playback. My wife has mainly been using it and finds it smooth and responsive for general use. It’s not intended for anything too demanding, but for everyday work and light media, it seems well matched. The combination of storage and memory is more than enough for now, and the ports available are practical. A solid start.
