The water will heat and once it reaches boiling point the cordless kettle will automatically switch off.
CORDLESS DESIGN: For safety and convenience reasons we have designed this electric kettle to be cordless and have a 360° base which enables you to swivel or lift the hot water boiler from any direction you wish, making it ideal for both left-handed and right-handed users. The base has a hidden cable management area which allows you to shorten your cable length if you need to.

It’s the easiest kettle to fill Ive come across. The filling lid works a treat. No buttons to press, just put the lid under the tap, and fill. The pre-set temperature control is convenient too and has saved on electricity, although I would have liked 85-90deg C instead of 80C as one of the presets. One shouldn’t use boiling water for making tea and instant coffee, but 80deg is probably at the lower end. I often give it an extra 10 seconds after it cuts off at 80C just to boost it. Again, 60C is another preset that could be raised to 65-70C. While most mesophile bacteria and some thermophiles are killed at 60+C, it’s better to get some margin. That aside, the kettle works very well with the preset which I use most of the time. At 3KW, it heats up pretty fast. But with a full load, it may not be as fast as some may like, especially if are used to a 3.5kw kettle before.

Kettle worked perfectly, but developed a glitch after 11 months, something that can happen whatever product is bought. I contacted the seller, who arranged for the postal service to collect and return for repair. Have just received notification that the item cannot be repaired, but a replacement is being sent out. No quibble, speedy response (excluding the Bank Holiday weekend). Up until the ‘glitch’ I would have given the product 4*, but am now giving it 5* for the excellent aftersales service. Well done for that, Ducron

Bought to replace an aging Arendo variable temperature model that was taking longer and longer to come to the boil even when just descaled. It had always taken a while to boil fully to 100 degrees but it was getting ridiculous. This kettle was on offer for about £15 less than the full price and had very good reviews overall. So I decided to go for it rather than wait for the Arendo to finally pack in and find this to be out of stock or something.
Build quality is considerably poorer and more flimsy feeling than the Arendo kettle had. The Arendo had some heft to it, with additional weight to the base, which was reassuring in a way. This one when it comes to a boil rattles and vibrates on the base because it is so lightweight. This is also very ugly and cheap looking, don’t be fooled by the photo which makes it look a lot better than it actually is. Please don’t ever try and buy this as a gift for anyone as they may be offended. 😄
So why the 4 star review you may ask? The 4 stars are for the price I got it for, it would have been 3 stars at full price. The four stars are also because it does do the job it is made for, boiling water and heating it to various lower temperatures, almost infuriatingly well. It boils extremely quickly, even at 100 degrees, and the way it progresses through the various temperature lights showing the water heating up in real time, is a cute touch. If you’re willing to look past everything else, and wait until this has a decent offer or deal price on it, then it isn’t a bad option at all. If you have a bit more money to play with, I would probably go for something else.

Excellent and well made kettle. Very impressed with quality and performance. The lid needs to be pushed fully back when filling the kettle otherwise it can drop do but you soon get used to this. Thoroughly recommend. Much better than much more pricey kettles. It looks great and temperature choice control excellent.

Very simple operation: choose the temperature (40, 60, 80 or 100°C) and press start. It beeps politely when done. It then reverts back to 100°C, so you don’t have to remember what it was last used on. It’s a good size: I’ve never needed to fill it right up, anyway! It’s been nice and robust so far, and still looks quite clean. The only negative for me is that the lid doesn’t always like to stay up (open) when filling, particularly when the kettle is still warm. But that’s a fairly minor point. I also love that the wall of the kettle is insulated, so any extra you boiled by accident doesn’t cool too quickly – and you don’t burn yourself on the side. And four temperature settings is plenty for us, a good compromise between flexibility and simplicity. Definitely would recommend this kettle so far.

Cette bouilloire plutôt sobre reste très jolie et m’a vraiment convaincu même si elle n’est pas au top des dernières technologies, ce qu’elle fait, elle le fait vraiment bien et c’est finalement cela le plus important.
La bouilloire est faite entièrement de plastique, certes celui-ci est de bonne qualité, mais sachez tout de même que pour le même prix, il est possible d’en trouver en verre, dans tous les cas le plastique et le verre apporte son lot d’avantage et d’inconvénient.
L’appareil avec ses 2200W de puissance chauffe l’eau assez vite, en 5 minutes, vous avez une eau à 100 C° avec un arrêt automatique de l’appareil, je trouve dommage que l’appareil ne maintien pas l’eau à température quelques minutes comme certaine bouilloire de ce même type propose. La résistance n’est pas apparente, est se situe sous en plaque, cela offre une durée de vie de l’appareil plus longue, puisque la résistance ne sera jamais attaquer par le calcaire, il faudra tout de même entretenir le fond de la machine, mais l’entretien est bien plus simple.
Duronic a fait le choix de n’indiquer que le fonctionnement de l’appareil via le bouton d’allumage avec une jolie lumière bleue assurément du plus bel effet, simple, mais efficace.
Pour conclure, oui, c’est un excellent produit, malheureusement très basique dans ses fonctions, mais heureusement se rattrape avec une finition clairement au rendez-vous.

DO NOT BUY THIS KETTLE, IT IS DANGEROUS. Bought this kettle on the 26th of March and it’s now the 17th of May (52 days ago) first thoughts were that it felt a bit flimsy with it’s poorly fitting lid but I figured that because the kettle would never be tipped over so far that it could fall off it’d be OK and it was until today when the whole handle upper mounts became detached. This is incredibly dangerous and could have resulted in my wife being scalded had it had more than a cup full of water in it. Really not happy with this and I think that it should be withdrawn from sale.

I do really like this kettle, it has finer adjustments than my last energy saving kettle with 5 degree incremental changes to the temperature. I am only taking off one star because the lid is designed in such a way that you have to line it up perfectly to get it to close properly, and the heat proof part of the lid is pretty small, so you can touch the metal easily if you have large hands. I’ve gotten used to it, but it’s worth knowing of this downside. Only other small thing is the location of the water fill window, it can be tricky to see it clearly, but again, I’ve gotten used to this too.
Looks nice, good quality, and the pour hasn’t started to drip!

La bouilloire electrique de 2200W correspond bien a mes attentes et me permet de faire du thé en moins de 5 minutes, il n’est pas nécessaire de le remplir jusqu’à la limite pour le faire fonctionner, il y a également une sécurité qui s’enclenche lorsqu’il n’y a pas assez d’eau pour éviter tout accident du genre incendiaire. L’eau chauffe très rapidement, pour un peu plus de 500ml, il faut compter deux bonnes minutes pour qu’elle soit à ébullition. Ne fait pas de bruit de “claquement” lorsque celle ci est en marche, une petite lumière permet d’indiqué si l’eau est en cours de chauffe ou non. Dans l’ensemble je suis très satisfait de cette petite merveille qui chauffe mes thés très rapidement.
