This dye pod delivers great results – the smoke grey shade looks deep and even across fabrics. It’s easy to use in the washing machine with no mess, and there’s no strong or lingering smell. The finish is high quality and holds up well after multiple washes. Works beautifully on clothes and soft furnishings, giving them a fresh, renewed look. While it doesn’t waterproof fabric, the colour longevity is excellent. A reliable way to refresh tired textiles.

Used it to revive a throw which the arms had been badly faded by the sun. It came out better than new. Lovely colour and came out even all over. Easy to use & container recyclable.

The dye itself is great. Easy to use; you just wash your items first (without fabric conditioner); put the dye pod in, then put it on wash, then wash the clothes again with washing powder/liquid, then take your stuff out. You then put the machine on again, supposedly for it to clean itself.
This is the bit where you need to beware. You do need to give the rubber part around the opening a clean, as I found there was a LOT of dye still in there, and I had just used black. Just putting it on a washing cycle doesn’t get in the folds at all.

I remember the days of boiling up our dyes with tons of salt so this has impressed me greatly for the ease of use.
I took care with the instructions.
    I checked the wash cycle.
I was dying 100% cotton bedding (to de-grey the house).
It worked really well and the green took nicely over tones of pale grey – you could just still see the pattern through but I rather liked that. However, results are variable – the next things I dyed were also 100 cotton, but the colour took quite differently.
I then pushed my luck and dyed a pair of curtains from the same range (also 100% cotton). Worried that they would come out different shades if I did them separately as the other items had done, I was keen to wash both together, but even though I used 3 packs for that attempt I pushed my luck on the amount of fabric in the machine and it came out uneven (streaks of darker tones across where the fabric must not have unfolded in the machine). I did pause the machine part way through and moved the fabric by hand to try to mitigate this – achieving nothing but a green hand lol.
I’m not too unhappy with results – it’s made an inexpensive change to my bedroom colour theme, but not one thing matches even though I used the same dye, and when the curtains are closed the uneven streaks show, so if you’re determined to have everything the same shade this may not be the way to go for you.

So – overall, fabulous, especially for single items.
But not without issues to be mindful of if you’re shade matching, which may be a big deal for some people.

Did not change the color at all and I followed the directions.

YOU MUST WASH THE ITEM FIRST AS IT NEEDS TO BE VERY DAMP SO IT DYES EVENLY. Looking as some of the critics, they can’t have done this.
I’ve used this dye for years on everything from school concert costumes to jeans and settee covers.
Those who’ve had patchy results are just not doing it properly and didn’t follow instructions.
It won’t dye some synthetics so if your item has a mixture of natural and synthetic materials, only the natural (e.g.cotton) will take the dye.
If you have exposed stitching as you do on jeans and the thread isn’t pure cotton, then the jeans will dye but the thread won’t.
I can honestly say that I’ve had 100% success every time, even going back to the days when you had to add salt separately. It’s now so easy there’s no excuse.
Don’t put too much in the machine, I wouldn’t dye more than two pairs of jeans at a time for example as they need the space for the dye to reach all the fabric. Above all READ THE INSTRUCTIONS.
I’ve just dyed pale jeans as I wanted a darker denim but the make I like doesn’t seem to be doing them any more. So I put a couple of pairs of the pale blue WASHED & WET jeans
in the washing machine with the dark navy dye They’re perfect.
Interestingly, before I’d dyed them, the original denim colour came off on my pale leather car seats. I was forever cleaning the seats. However, since dying them with Dylon the dye is now colour fast so it’s unexpectedly solved another problem!

Ho fatto bene a fidarmi 💯 🥳

Really pleased with the outcome. Dyed my sons favourite shorts which had faded, several pairs of my normal leggings (not gym wear) and a much loved overwashed black tshirt . All of which took the dye really well.
I strongly recommend you follow the very clear instructions on the label. Don’t overload the machine, make sure clothes are clean and wet, place the opened pod on top, then wash on a 40degree cotton wash, repeat with detergent.
I used intense black and there were no marks left on the seal around my machine door
Thank you to everyone who already reviewed, yr feedback both good & bad helped me be extra cautious using this.

Lovely yellow colour. Used on some whites that had become less than brilliant white.
Easy to use, much easier with machine dye and great results.

Emerald green not so good. Very dull ‘faded denim’ colour in natural light, not what I was after. Will have to redo that one. Would not buy that colour again.

My single yellow pod dyed 1 king size flat sheet.
    1 king size fitted sheet.
    1 adult t shirt.
    1 child’s top.
    2 pillowcases.
    2 yards of cheesecloth fabric.

Emerald green pod was used with 2 white cotton sheets, with dismal results.

Edit: I should add that I have a 10kg drum in my washing machine. So the items put inside to dye, did not exceed the required half full drum. The items need sufficient room to freely rotate in the drum to ensure even coverage.
