I was disappointed when the item arrived as it was a used hoover I ordered a new one, the product arrived by city link who were very helpful in delivering the item, however the product was quite well worn and needed to be cleaned as there was dirt inside the hoover cylinder, not happy requested for a refund.

Once again Dyson live up to their reputation. This is the 5th Dyson I have owned – three of them still in use on a regular basis. Would recommended them to everyone. The tools which are attached are easy to use and store. My only compliant is the weight of this Dyson, I find it too heavy to carry up stairs. But I have now one stored upstairs and one downstairs so even this is not a problem for me. To empty the dust container is easy, but should be done regularly, which is only common sense. The filters are easy to wash and dry. I would recommend this model – giving it 5 stars.

Does the job.. Still a heavy monster to operate despite the ball .I need to empty each time to maintain suction. I’ve had problems with the beater brush since not long after purchase as it doesn’t always work first time.

Came very quickly,as usual.
Dead easy to put together,took seconds.It actually took much longer to remove the excellent packaging.
All Dysons seem strong and made to last,this one seems to be no exception.Last one died after 9 and a half yrs(DC04)
Hope this one lasts as long!The style is amazingly similar,yet all the minor differences add upto big gains in ease of use and general funcuality.
Bought a cylinder cleaner from Hoover a yr ago for the stairs and car,it went back after a day.Even though it was bagless technology it was nothing like Dyson,was frankly rubbish.It was cheaper by about £100,but whats the point if its about 20% as good?Needless to say a Dyson was immediately ordered to replace the Hoover.It like the upright Animal is pricy but blows all the competition away.

This Dyson has very good suction and is great at getting up pet hair and dust. I really can’t fault it there.
The downside for me is that I find it very heavy and cumbersome. It is difficult to turn when using on carpet and I tend to fall over the lead.
I think i’m quite strong for a female but vacuuming my bedroom carpet, with it’s deep pile is a torturous workout which leaves me with quite a sore back.
This vacuum would be fine if I was a female body builder or if you have a strapping and willing partner ( not like mine who vacuums in a circle and thinks the job is done; hence the nick-name ‘Arfur’ – ‘Arfur Job’. )
So yes, great on suction; not so great for your back.

having just brought this machine 3 days ago, there is no doubt that it has great suction , but as the wand will not budge, I cant do the rest of the cleaning so a lot of money for just a hoover , Dyson cant come till 3rd april , should have listened to the review about the wand, a really bad design fault , this is my second Dyson , and the other one worked like a dream with one hand.

i was unsure about ordering a dyson because of the cost of them although on amazon they are much cheaper than the shops i did have to think about it but i,m glad i bought it it,s very solied maybe a little heavy for some peopel but i like that it,s not tinny and flimsey it picks up great and is so easy to empty so can clean out each time as we have 4 dogs 2 cats and 2 parrots it works for it,s money i also have a dyson animal cylinder i,v had for 8 year so would recommend cos you get your wear out of them

We have used Dyson uprights for quite a long time now, we find they are perfect for our needs and in fact we have one upstairs and another downstairs this avoids the need to carry a quite weighty item around. Unfortunately I have asthma and a little brown doggie friend who is always within a few feet of me and this includes my bedroom where I spend a lot of time both sleeping and messing about with various hobbies, this combination produces a good harvest of dog hair and although our old DC07 handled it quite well we thought perhaps the 27 was more up to the job and we were not disappointed. Even though I had vacuumed with the old cleaner in the morning the new one “found” a lot more hair, and our first trial with the accessories proved they “did what it said on the box”. We are not happy because Dyson have moved their production out of the country but we will continue to buy them as long as there are no other options.
