This phone is very basic, there’s no numbers on any buttons, just pictures of up to four people to ring. The ringer and sound from the earpiece is good and loud. All sounds ideal for a loved one who has a level of dementia or is elderly and would struggle with a normal phone.

The problem I found is that unless the local phone coverage is good and strong it keeps dropping out or doesn’t work at all.

An elderly person or someone with some level of dementia is likely to live and stay in one place, such as a care home. If that’s the case and the mobile coverage isn’t strong there then the phone is of no use at all. At my mothers care home we get between one and two bars of signal on our iPhones and have no problems with calls from there. But that’s not strong enough for this phone. Our iPhones and this phone are all on the same network, EE.

So, this phone is a great idea but unfortunately doesn’t work very well in the real world unless you have a strong signal. So this phone unfortunately is of no use to me or my mother.

The other thing I had a problem with is getting the back off to insert the battery and SIM card.
I definitely wouldn’t recommend this phone.

Terrible phone. I bought it for my dad who has dementia. After very light use the ringer doesn’t work, you can’t accept calls and it won’t call out!

    Avoid

An easy to set up phone. Clear to see for my mum whose eyes are going. Four contacts are available to set up with photographs, you need to print off pictures yourself. A bit tricky if you are not technically minded. That being said you could just write the names and place underneath the large size buttons. A good quality phone that is good value for money.

Absolute rubbish . Do not buy this phone .
First one didn’t work . Returned it and bought it again . Second phone was probably the first one sent back out as this one also does not work . Had it a for under a year but nowhere to send it back or get it looked at . Should still be under a warranty but just going around in circles on here trying to return it .

Simple mobile with 4 big buttons to make calls. Ideal for elderly who may have poor sight or memory issues who need to be able to contact loved ones or local services without having to navigate through contacts lists. Does exactly what its designed to do!

Bought for elderly relative as it looks simple to use.

    Good
The buttons are large and clear
    The menus are simple
The ability to put pictures or names into the buttons for ease of use great

    Not so Good
Getting the back cover off to add the battery and sim is not easy
Not a great fit to the base unit a bit wobbly

Bought this for my mom who has brain injury and it’s easy for her to use. It was easy to set up the fast dial and emergency numbers and great phone. Easy for her to put in the docking station to charge without have to fiddle with wires and plugging into charging port. Great for the elderly. It’s not a smart phone but great for emergencies
