This kettle is *BRILLIANT*.
I wanted a kettle which illuminated when heating to indicate the temperature and which also had a Keep Warm feature as I sometimes forget that I’ve boiled some water and by the time I do remember, the water’s cooled again…! (😖)
… But unlike other kettles I’ve had which will keep warm indefinitely and which could therefore potentially cost you a small fortune in electricity, the KW function on this switches off after 30 mins. 👌🏿
NOTE: the manual tells you how to activate KW, but it’s only when you turn over to the next page that there’s an addendum which mentions the important point that you can only activate the feature when the “boil to” temperature is set to 90° or less (note that whenever you put the kettle back on its base, it always defaults to 100°C).
… I couldn’t understand why the thing kept switching itself off – until I turned the page and saw the above. 🤦🏿♂️
The kettle boils *rapidly*; no waiting around for ages for your cuppa!
Some people have complained about the unit beeping, when boiling temperature is reached, but I find this aural indicator of status very useful indeed; especially when I’m not in the kitchen, but am busy and have left some water boil. The beeping helps prevent me forgetting, as I indicated above…! 👌🏿
The all-round window means it’s very easy to monitor the water level from almost any angle.
All in all, this is a GREAT kettle.
… Buy iiiiiiiit…!! 😅

I love this kettle it looks lovely and stylish and love the keep warm feature and you can select different temperature the only down side is the scale builds up pretty quick on the glass I have to descale it every week to keep it looking nice.

The first cup of tea was fine (second time kettle was used as I boil before using the boiled water). The second and third cups of tea were undrinkable and had a ghastly chemical taste. Neither kettle nor tea cup smelt it just altered the taste and is unusable as a result. My guess is the sealing ring at the base through which the temperature sensor protrudes leached some sort of chemical. I very much doubt it meets EU standards. A shame really as the kettle otherwise performed well and looks good. The press buttons to regulate, required me to stoop down to see what to press but with more use I would have expected to be able to do this without contorting my body.
