I’ve always been a fan of an electric mower but have to admit now I have tried this I do kind of prefer a manual.as it is so much quicker to just grab it out the garage and cut away no having to drag an extention out and no wires to avoid.
Easy to put together you just need a couple of spanners to fix the bolts through the handle. It cuts thru the grass very easily so must be sharp wondering howlong before blades start to blunt glides very smoothly easier than i thort it would be.
Easy to turn with chunky wheels.
I’m converted

Easy to use, initial setup is a bit hard.

This mower is great, good motion of blades and user friendly but there is no detailed instruction on how to adjust the blades’ height.
Only my opinion of the product –
There’s not much to putting this item together. Base unit, 4 pieces to from the arms and 2 bolts to secure them.
Item arrived with only 2 of the 4 arm pieces though so cannot be used. Suspect this may be an item that’s already been returned at least once. The bolts were also loose in the box as the bag for them had a big hole in it, the box split in a couple of places any the item a bit dusty.
Easy enough to place an exchange for the same item again but almost a week to wait for delivery again as we approach the Easter weekend.
Am sure it will work great if I can get a replacement sent with the complete arms but to have arrived in this state, the hassle of returning it and a wait for the replacement is very disappointing.

Assembling the handles – comprising four large steel tubes to be nut-bolted and aligned within the cutting assembly – is tricky for a one man activity and without adequate care could result in injury to ones hands. Based on the label on the box, it appears to me made in Sweden, the land of the IKEA flat pack. With a couple of minor design mods the entire product could have been factory assembled and packaged for delivery within the existing overall dimensions. Great item, once successfully assembled.

🌿 As someone who takes pride in a well-manicured lawn, the Flymo H400 Push Powered Cylinder Lawn Mower (Cylinder) has exceeded my expectations. 🌿
This lawn mower is push powered, meaning it doesn’t require any electricity or gas, which is great for the environment and my wallet. The cylinder design of the blades provides a clean, precise cut, resulting in a perfectly groomed lawn.
The Flymo H400 is lightweight and easy to maneuver, making it perfect for a small to medium-sized lawn. The adjustable cutting height allows me to customize the length of the grass to my liking, and the grass collector box is easy to remove and empty.
The build quality of this lawn mower is top-notch, and it’s evident that Flymo has put a lot of thought into the design. The cylinder blades are made of high-quality steel, which is durable and long-lasting. The ergonomic handle provides a comfortable grip, and the wheels roll smoothly over the grass.
One of the best things about this lawn mower is how quiet it is. I can mow my lawn early in the morning or late in the evening without disturbing my neighbors, which is a big plus.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the Flymo H400 Push Powered Cylinder Lawn Mower (Cylinder). It’s a reliable and efficient lawn mower that provides a clean, precise cut without the hassle of cords or gas. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality lawn mower for their small to medium-sized lawn.

I’m so glad I didn’t buy an electric or petrol mower, as this push-powered is very simple, virtually maintenance free, quiet, and all I’ll need aside from a trimmer to tidy up any hard to reach areas.
Assembly (just the handle) is a bit fiddly, but once the bolt holes are lined up and the two bolts threaded through, that’s it. Handle assembly feels sturdy and has metal bolts (I didn’t buy the somewhat cheaper Bosch equivalent because I saw it had PLASTIC bolts!—which gave me no confidence in their build quality). The bolts are secured with shake-proof nuts.
The only other setting up is to check that the moving blades are paper-thickness distance from the stationary blade which they pass, but this had already been correctly set at the factory (I checked it with my instruction sheet).
So from opening the box, carefully reading through the instructions and setting up, I was ready to mow in about fifteen minutes.
This mower is very easy to use. It has three height settings. I chose the highest, and admittedly my grass is a little sparse at the moment, so I’ll probably give an update in a month or so, but really, it’s easy to push, and there’s very little noise. I didn’t bother with a collection box for the cuttings as almost every review I’ve read for any manual mower says they’re not worth the trouble. I’m happy to leave the cuttings on the lawn, as I intend to mow fairly regularly, so there’ll never be much.
I can say I’ll mow regularly, as on this first attempt, I had mown everything in about 20 minutes! No faffing about with petrol motors or electrical cables; take the mower out, and get going.

Well built flymo lawn mower, with adjustable cutting height. The is not electric, so no more trailing leads or concerns over electrical supply. Very retro. This mower doesn’t have a cuttings collector so will take a bit of raking after using on longer grass.
I actually only have a small lawn and believe in keeping my grass quite short and leaving the cuttings on the top, so this will suit my needs. Ideal for smaller lawns or grass verges.
Expensive but good build quality as expected from Flymo.

After first use while cleaning the grass from the blade before putting away I noticed the bar in the middle of the blades had rust all over it. It was delivered in a sealed box they must send out rusty lawn mowers as brand new ones.
