I picked up a similar item before, which was half the price and I had to give it a bad review. This YUIOIBUC model is miles better.
Firstly, there is the inclusion of an actual strimmer head, meaning this can actually replace my old, electric strimmer. The previous model I tested only came with metal circular saws and plastic blades.
Added to that is the fact the guard is adjustable and useful – just set it to the correct length and run along the wall in a sideways motion. The guard on my previous example was fixed in a position that didn’t let the blade anywhere near the wall/obstacle so I had the option of a) leaving an ugly, long fringe of grass or b) trying to inch closer to the wall with the unguarded side of the cutter. This latter tactic ended up with every plastic blade shattered; plus damage to my compost bin from being hit by the metal saw blades. The YUIOIBUC does it so much better.
My old, electric strimmer has no guard at all, so going along a wall means broken strimmer cord and pulling more out at least 3 times. Also the inconvenience of a power cable that need unwound, plugged into an extension and then rewound. The YUIOIBUC just needs one of the two supplied batteries smacked into place (the batteries are 4 mAh which is twice the capacity of my previous one).
I’m a bit wary of waving a saw blade about at the end of a long pole, so I’ve only used that in extreme circumstances – i.e. quickly clearing a long-established bramble patch at my elderly parents house. It makes short work of that.
Overall, I like this. It’s a much better model than I tried before and I can say it has indeed now replaced my old strimmer.

This cordless strimmer and brush cutter kit has genuinely surprised me in the best way. From the moment I unpacked it, everything felt well thought out—two rechargeable batteries, multiple blade options, gloves, a shoulder strap, and a charger that can handle both batteries at once. The batteries held charge well, and with one charging while the other’s in use, I’ve yet to run out of power mid-task.
I’ve been using it for regular lawn tidying as well as more demanding jobs like clearing out overgrown areas on the allotment. It handled tall grass (nearly up to my knees) without much fuss, especially when using the brush cutter blade. It did bunch up a little in the guard when things got particularly thick, but that was more of a pause than a problem.
The cutting power is strong, and the 9-inch sweep makes edging quick. With the adjustable head angle and long handle, I was able to get neat, clean results without crouching or straining. I haven’t used all the attachments yet—those circular saw blades seem a bit intense for my usual needs—but it’s nice to know they’re there for tougher jobs.
Build quality is solid, and while it’s a bit weighty, the strap helps manage that well. It definitely feels like a tool that will last. The strimmer head is auto-feed and performs smoothly, though changing it out the first time took a bit of figuring out.
For the price, considering all that’s included and how versatile it is, I think it’s excellent value. It’s taken over from my old plug-in strimmer completely, and I honestly don’t see myself going back. This thing saves me both time and effort, and that’s exactly what I was after.

What a beast this is. Puts the others I have used in the past to shame, it weighs in with battery and strimming wire head fitted at 6.1kilo which is why I suspect that it has a shoulder strap, also included along with a tool kit, instruction booklet, 2 x 4Ah batteries and a charger are gloves to keep you safer while changing heads from the usual strimmer to wire heads, 2 blades or even 2 x 9 inch tungsten tipped circular saw blades. The latter 2 types I shall never use as they are just too unforgiving if you happen to misuse them.
Being as its got a 9 inch sweep, edging the lawn is quick and easy, but be careful as it will take no prisoners if you get careless close to the flowers. The head angle can be changed so you can trim down on end the edge of the lawn. I admit to preferring the shaft rotation way of altering the head angle but this way works too.
Around 30mins battery working time is enough to do my lawn edges but if your need is for longer there is a second battery supplied so one on charge while using the other.
When fitting the strimmer head which is auto feed by the way, You need to remove the large cup washer and the nut which is left hand thread! then while holding the shaft from turning with the allen key screw left wise the black strimmer feed head on until its tight. Not too tight as its only going to try and get tighter in use, it wont fall off.
As to refilling the head with line once its empty, the booklet gives advice on that, I am unable yet to remove mine to see how hard it is to refill. Perhaps the sellers have a video on how to do it?
There were no safety glasses in the kit, I would advise use of them and watch for flying stones and any glass near by.
Cost wise its showing as £109.89 less £10 coupon and maybe a further 5% at checkout which seems quite expensive for a strimmer until you add up the fact its a beast of 9 inch coverage with a 750 watt motor and a whole host of attachment heads to keep everyone happy and 2 batteries.

Very good tool. I gave the batteries a charge overnight. The charger has 2 jack plugs so you can charge both at once. The handle extends a good way longer than others I have had. I do No Mow May, so the grass was nearly 2 foot tall. Put the brush cutter wheel on and got going. My lawn is only 8′ x 14′. It took a little while to get going, but it took 10 minutes to get it done. Only thing that caused any issues was the long grass bunching up in the guard. It looks like it will get well used.
