These trays are sturdy and well designed, perfect for the job!
They are great quality – with felt on the underside to avoid damaging the fabric/leather of your sofa and provide some slip resistance, and the raised edge on the flat surface is perfect to keep things secure.

No more hunting for the remotes! And super stable for mugs or glasses.
Easily fits my two remotes, my iphone and a large mg of coffee👍 (plus a nail file and a pen)
Only downside was the flap on the inside is where I usually lean my leg, so I just cut it ff, and it still nice and stable.
The only other ‘issue’ was the the outer flap was just covering my power recliner buttons, but it was easy enough to remove just 2 of the slats that side with scissors.
Still enough grip left, nice and stable

Bought this for my elderly mother who is pretty much chair/bed bound. it is very well made and the price is good but the design means that the arm of the chair has to be just the perfect size and shape to be stable.
It is flexible, so at first glance it appears to adjust to the shape/size but in reality if the arm is not wide and flat the tray will slide to the left or right.
On first use I placed a cup of tea down and the whole tray slipped and rotated round the arm send the hot tea towards my mothers lap – fortunately I was quick enough to catch it before any harm was done, but otherwise there could have been serious burns/scalding.

We opted for this over the fabric, cheaper solutions. And love it. The bamboo sides add weight to stop the solid wood tray from moving. The tray fits perfectly over the arm of the chair beside the bed. Just right for my wife’s morning cup of tea. Or, here, my evening beer!

0While more expensive than other models, this side tray fitted perfectly on my sofa (the side arm is not rectangular). The flat base is larger and provides adequate space to place hot drinks and other objects. Material is sturdy. Very pleased with my purchase.
