Bought to replace my aging petrol mower. After much research & deliberation, I opted for the Greenworks 48v 36cm mower. Overall a good machine & easy to set up. My mower had a couple of issues: 1. The rear wheel fell off! 2. The front wheel with the height adjustment lever is off the ground slightly & tends to freewheel. Following a call to the very helpful Amazon customer services team, I decided to keep the mower rather than return it & repaired the rear wheel. I have to say that the mower performed very well & made a lovely job of my lawns. The batteries used two bars for both front & rear medium lawns. The machine was easy to manoeuvre & the grass collection is excellent. I am yet to try it on longer grass, but it appears to have plenty of power to deal with a week or two of summer growth. Early days, but I am very pleased with this lawnmower & can forgive the minor issues especially at this price point.

Good value product for mowing the grass without the hassle of a power cable. It came with a charger and two batteries that are both needed at the same time. The batteries charge quickly, even from completely depleted. The charger is a bit noisy though, but I put it in another room while charging and it’s not for long. The good thing about that is you know exactly when it has finished recharging. The batteries last long enough for me to complete the whole of the back (approx 200m²) plus all the front garden too (approx 60m²) from a full charge. The only negatives I have are that the battery compartment cover is very flimsy and broke off within a couple of months, but that’s a minor complaint, plus it doesn’t cope all that well with damp grass. Setting the length of the cut higher alleviates most of the problem, although it still clogs up and stops every now and again. Unfortunately in Scotland the grass is almost always damp so the cut isn’t always as short as I’d like.

Used in November (test run on arrival) and now twice this year; 90′ x 30 garden; a few fruit trees, borders, troughs and some moss; petrol mower getting old and starting it was hurting my back and shoulder.
Putting the mower together was easy as is charging and inserting the batteries. It’s simple to use and to switch from mulching and collecting. I’m not mechanically minded and this is all straightforward. It is effortless to use and really light and easy to manoeuvre. It doesn’t leave stripes but the indentation from the wheels helps keep a straight pattern. The cut is ok. It won’t take on longer, first cut, grass as well a petrol mover and is only happy giving it a trim. Fully charged batteries lasted about half an hour today which would be ok for me to get around the garden once as it’s quick and easy if you’re not trying to take too much off. I haven’t used the easy fold levers as it doesn’t look substantial enough to play with moving parts too often.
I’m very happy with this mower, good value for money, but not ecstatic.
Update – started making funny noises and wasn’t cutting at all well. I’ve had to go through returns procedure. I don’t think this is a very robust piece of kit.

Pleased with the product so far. Cuts well. Good sized grass box. Nonissues with the mower bit. 2 batteries used together – they seemed to have enough strength to do the job. However, with a longer cut, the two batteries fell short. I’ve ordered another two batteries to make sure I can get the job done. So far all good.

Ero titubante per un prodotto del genere a batterie, ma essendo un tecnico ho pensato che 48 V fossero abbastanza per un tosaerba semiprofessionale come questo. Non è assolutamente un oggetto hobbistico, e neanche leggero ! Si palpa una generale robustezza ed ottima fattura anche essendo in parte di materiale plastico (le plastiche non sono tutti uguali!). Avviata fa impressione per l’accelerazione del motore che non ti aspetti da un prodotto a batteria… Sembra un motore a 230V da 1800W, che era il mio vecchio modello ormai pensionato. Lo ha sostituito egregiamente, più leggero (il mio vecchio era degli anni ’90 tutto in ferro !), senza più i pericolosi cavi elettrici in giro. Ho un giardino da circa 400 mq, effettivi meno perché ci sono molti ostacoli, viali, siepi etc, che fanno anche perdere tempo e corrente a girarci intorno. Ebbene con una carica delle 2 batterie da 24V 4Ah cad, ho fatto tutto in una mezzoretta effettiva al netto di qualche pausa per scaricare l’erba ! L’ho spento e funzionava ancora al massimo delle prestazioni… Fantastico !

this is the second Greenworks mower I have owned, easy to erect but not able to use yet as parts missing. Battery charging time not the quickest on market. Plus the cutting height adjustment does not work easily. Only just tried to use due to illness and can not return due to Amazon returns policy. Adjusting the cutting height is particularly difficult, as you have to lift the whole machine up and press the height adjustment button !… it certainly IS NOT suitable for those with any form of disability. I would NOT recommend this product.

Ich hatte Glück mit einem Angebot von 140€. Das ist der Mäher alle Mal wert. Allerdings ist der Akku von der Fläche eher was für kleinere Gärten. Er scheint recht robust zu sein, allerdings wird er am Gelenk des Griffes, der am Mäher verbunden ist wohl zuerst kaputt gehen, da ich ihn im Gelände ein wenig wuchsen muss. Das Mähergebnis ist tiptop, worauf es ja auch ankommt. Die Stufen der Mähhöhen lassen sich einfach mit einem Handgriff verstellen. Mir wäre der Mäher auch 240 Euro Wert.
