  • Manoeuvrable – At just 3.5kg fully assembled, you can comfortably push our mini lawnmower throughout your garden using just one hand. It’s the perfect solution for cutting narrow areas and smaller spaces typically unsuited to larger models.
  • Omniblade – Our lightweight lawnmower uses a counter-balanced, single rotary blade and has a 25cm (10″) cutting width. Made from carbon steel, the SLM50’s sharp and durable blade quickly rotates at a constant speed of 5200rpm (max.).
  • Safe – Your safety is our priority, which is why the SLM50 has three safety features. The operational safety key must be in the ‘on’ position and the safety switch must be pressed in for the mower to start. Plus, the new ‘auto-off’ safety lock activates when the handle is raised to a high angle (over 66°), giving you peace of mind when storing your mower.
  • Low Profile – We’ve kept our small lawnmower’s height to a minimum so you can slide it beneath your trampolines, tables, and other garden features. And with its low-profile reclining handle, you can reach even further underneath without needing to move. Lose the hassle of adjusting your furniture and find more time to enjoy your garden.

I was going to give this a 4 star review as I really like it, but the battery died not last long and it often stops on longer grass.
However after not having used it much, once I’ve started to put it through its paves and use it more frequently… maybe twice a week its now stored working altogether which is a real shame as I found it to be a really useful tool in the garden.
It’s light and easy to use even good in a larger garden when you want to use something around places you can’t reach with a bigger mower.

Update on the above. I called gtech and they honoured the warranty and did the most excellent job of customer service I have ever come across.
I said I was going to give this a 4 star review because I felt there were a couple of things that could have worked better with the mower, but due to the customer service from Gtech I’ve got to go for 5 stars!!!

This mower is very simple to put together, and also easy to use.
It is effective, and ideal for a quick trim of a small lawn. I’m not sure it would cope with the first cut of the Spring, but once you’ve got the lawn trimmed and tidy, then this will keep it like that.
It took me about half the time to mow my lawn, compared to mains hover-mower, just because I didn’t have to get the extension lead out, and then put it all away again. etc.
No fear of accidently cutting through a lead, either.
It is a lot quieter than my hover mower too.

Potentially a great product and a fantastic idea to have a battery powered lawn mower but unfortunately not even a year in and the connection between the mower and the rod arm has already eroded. So now it is no longer usable and Amazon has removed any form of communication with the company. So all I can do is review and hope they pick this up and replace the part for me as in general its perfect for small gardens.

Well packaged and quick delivery. Just moved to a place with small grass area and this is brilliant. Charged up battery and tried it out. Simple to put together and operate even some thick areas which I thought it would struggle with. One handed operation which I find ideal as I have a couple of medical conditions. Very light, easy to use and clean when finished.

When you buy a brand name like GTech you know what you are paying for.
    Quality.
Simple instructions that make sense – no complicated diagrams showing parts not contained.
Does the job it’s designed to do.
    Good customer service.

I have a small garden with lawn about 10 foot by 8 foot – approximately. Grows like crazy. My first mower on a lead barely lasted a year. My manual was quite good but reasonably hard work and was poor at reaching edges and corners.
I had just done No Mow May and the grass was about a foot high. I used my manual first to get the worst of it cut. Then after incredibly easy assembly and powering the battery – I gave it a go.
It was slightly tricky keeping the side buttons depressed whilst pressing the on button and I had to stop several times to start again. I would remove half a point for that if I could but suspect as I get used to it I’ll find that far easier.
Light – but not like a ‘child’s toy’ as I read it described – it’s like a light lawn mower! Easy to use with one hand – I have an injured shoulder so liked that. Easy to store. Did my back lawn easily – in less than 10 minutes. And it did my tiny front lawn very swiftly too. One battery charge more than did the job. It’s back in the charge now and the mower is in my shed.
    Nice one G Tech!

I like it in that it’s very light and easy to move, I think it would be good for people with reduced mobility. My lawn is 12 foot by 5 foot, so not very big, and on the first spring cut it wore the battery completely flat just cutting half of it. There was also a lot of stopping and starting as it struggled with the longer tufts, so it felt like a lot of work. I think when the lawn is regularly maintained it’ll work much better, but it definitely has it’s limitations and I’d have hoped the battery would last a lot longer, at least enough to enable me to do the whole lawn without having to stop and charge halfway.

It’s worth putting up with for how small and light it is though. I live in a terrace and have a small patch of front lawn too, so I’ll have to carry it through my house now and then and needed something I’d be comfortable doing that with.

This compact mini Gtech Lawnmower is ideal for smaller gardens. We have a full size mower which is a pain to store, so when i came across this mini mower i decided to order.

The lawnmower can either be purchased as a stand alone base unit or with the handle and battery – we have the GTECH hedge trimmer and strimmer, however the new style handle is not compatible with the old style device so i had to purchase the whole lot, which was disappointing.

The mower only has a single handle, so it does take a little getting used to, however after a few minutes we got the hang of it and found it was very easy to manoeuvre. You can choose between two cutting lengths by varying the height of the rear and front wheels. My review video was on the highest setting. As you can see it does not have a grass collection box, however due to the way it cut’s the grass and mulches the clippings you don’t even notice the grass clippings being left behind by the mower – it actually did this brilliantly – leaving cut & mulches grass clippings is also a cheap and easy way to feed your lawn.

In summary i am very impressed with this little guy – it is tiny in comparison to my previous full size mower yet just as powerful – it had no issues cutting though my grass which had not been cut since last autumn. The bonus thing is that it is so much easier to store if you have limited space!!

    Highly Recommended!

This lawnmower is light and easy to move. It doesn’t cut short at all. Not like a conventional mower disappointed with this.
