I bought this to take away with me for my dinner holidays. I do have a small and light hairdryer but I wouldn’t want to take it away with me as it’s very expensive and I don’t want to risk it getting lost or broken. I decided to test it out and was pleasantly suprise with this. Good points: The price. It’s not bad, for the specs of it so full marks there. The handle folds to make it “smaller”, I’m not sure if it does actually make it smaller or just changes the shape of it so it’s easier to pack but it’s a nice feature. The handle doesn’t feel flimsy at all. Performs wise, this is what amazed me. I have thick, mid length hair that loves to hold the water (if I let it dry naturally it takes hours and hours, all day in fact!) This hair dryer dried my hair from soaking wet to almost bone dry in 10 minutes. It’s not the most powerful hair dryer blowing wise, but it creates a LOT of heat. I started off full power and full heat, but turned the heat down to 2 half way through. The concentrator nozzle, although I wouldn’t want to concentrate the heat directly at full blast on to my hair, at lower temps it’d be fine to get a nice smooth finish. I also like them as I feel it makes the air flow m more powerful (this just might be my imagination though).
Not so good points: It’s still quite large when folded, but not huge. There is no curl diffuser attachment. Not a problem for me, as although my hair is naturally wavy/curly, I prefer it straighter. There is not travel bagbfor it to store it in. This is a bit of a let down as I know have to find something to put it in so the chords not all over the place. Taking off the cord, it’s short. I’ve read a lot of reviews on other travel hair dryers and quite a few day the same thing. I’m taking an extension cable with me anyway (to save buying multiple have plug adapters), so should be OK, but still quite annoying. The high heat over blow power, if in a hot country then I imagine it could get uncomfortable, but there are 3 heat settings, plus a cold shot to choose from.
Over all, for the price, it’s really good. I’ll be keeping it replacing my ancient travel hair dryer (that I used recently and took ages drying my hair) to use on my future travels.
