Blade was as described and a perfect fit for my Poulan Pro brand 22″ mower. The mower is awful, I don’t recommend the Poulan brand at all – but that’s off topic.
The blade itself was shipped very fast from Outdoor Store. I ordered it on Wednesday afternoon and had it Saturday morning with standard shipping.
Installation was a breeze, I just tipped the mower over on the side and went to work. In my case all I needed was 9/16″ socket to loosen the bolt. I use a long breaker bar for leverage. You may spill oil by tipping the mower, but this didn’t happen to me. This is also a good time to change your oil and maybe clean the carburetor and add a fresh air filter while you’re at it.
I severely bent my old blade after hitting a tree stump and thus, never finished mowing before heavy rain that made the grass grow like it was on steroids. This fresh new blade completely powered through the tall grass and did an excellent job.
This was a perfect replacement for a blade with the item 406713 that I bought just a few months ago, which I had to replace because the previous one also got severely bent after hitting a rock! (that one wasn’t my doing).
I bagged some areas for neatness, and it worked great for that. Only problem is the bag filled up quite fast! But the mow quality was beautiful!
For other areas, and I don’t recommend this entirely because it’s dirty and a bit dangerous from flying debris – but what I do is hold the chute open on the side of the mower with a bungee cord or some string. Then the grass just blasts out and flies all over the place and lets you power through the tall grass without the mower choking up at all. Just a word of warning, this does send debris flying all over the place and may be dangerous. If there is still debris left, just double cut the lawn. I think I learned this from some landscapers.
I’m sure the mulching function works fine on normal grass, but due to my lawn being so long after my mower being out of service – I didn’t get a chance to try it yet. The previously mentioned method is my preferred way of cutting the grass rather than mulching.
Fair price here on Amazon, rather than driving around hoping the store will have one. It will typically cost a few dollars more in a retail store. (if they even have it)

I received the right item and that was my concern, delivery time it was a bit late than usual, but i understand why the province where i live in has some issues with Amazon deliveries…about durablity and the quality of the item i will wait and see. Thanks.
