If you live in Northern Ireland, don’t buy this lawnmower as you can’t get parts for it. I bought this lawnmower 2 years ago. I live in Northern Ireland and at the time (Brexit, I think?), I couldn’t get it delivered to Northern Ireland so I got it delivered to a friend on mainland UK and then collected it on my next trip over. Now I need spare parts and yet again, I can’t find anyone to deliver a spare part. Very poor service from Hyundai.

This a seriously robust and excellent motor mower, with all the features I was looking for.
It was delivered ‘next day’ as promised.
Assembly is a one man job as it’s really just putting the handle together, the rest is already assembled. Even so, I think it helped to watch an ‘out of the box’ video on YouTube for a Hyundai mower. Top Tip that I gleaned from that video was to cut the cardboard box away and roll the mower out rather than trying to lift it out of the box on my own – as it is mega heavy..
Only issue I encountered in the assembly was getting the ‘Mulching Plug’ out of the mower. The instructions says ‘remove the mulching plug if installed’, with an arrow on the picture indicating that you just pull it out – so I did. And it broke. So if you are trying to remove the mulching plug please make sure you squeeze the vertical ‘handle’ before pulling it out, as this will compress the hidden tab and easily allow you to pull it out of the mower.
So after completing the assembly, adding the oil (included in the pack) and the petrol, I was ready to go.
The mower started first time and it tackled the very wet, 3″ long grass efficiently. Understandably in these conditions, the grass collection system clogged up frequently and required emptying often. But it did the job! I’m expecting it’ll be even better in dry conditions.
After mowing I love being able to clean the cutting deck simply by attaching a water hose. Very simple, very efficient.
I’ve had a many motor mowers over the years, but this was my first Hyundai. So would I recommend this mower? Yes 100% I would recommend it.
Mr D J Woollam –
I have a big lawn that seems to eat mowers, the most important factor for me is how effective the drive is and this mower is the best yet, I’ve used it to mow the entire lawn ( there’s more than in the photo) on 5 occasions now and it makes easy work of it especially the ease at which you can vary the self drive speed. To date I’ve used the mulch facility only, which works so well and cuts the time needed to do the job right down, you can hardly tell it’s been mulched too.I like the flexi wheels which make the turns effortless, as for straight line mowing it’s fine, the only issue comes on the bank but if I point the mower slightly upwards it’s not an issue at all.The mower is powerful yet frugle, it will complete my lawn in one tank. The electric start is brilliant too. As for assembly it took me ten minutes and was simple. I followed the advice of a YouTube review and cut the box from round the mower so as to avoid having to lift it out. The mower as advertised, comes with oil too. All in all I’m really very impressed. I’ll review again in a year to report on longer term reliability but this seems an excellent choice.
Mad about Cashmere –
Starts well every time with no effort. Robust and good quality. Cannot fault the cut.
Mr D J Woollam –
I hate cables. I hate cables so much that I ditched my old electric mower and moved up to this petrol-driven mower with a large grass box.
This mower is very heavy which is not so bad when you are going forward as its self-propelled. Pulling it backwards, from a fence for example, can be a bit of a workout. The front wheels can either be locked or fixed if you want perfectly straight stripes. This is not a mower for you if you have a small garden as you would be pulling it about too much. But if you have a large/medium lawn to mow then its great. Everything on it is adjustable. The cutting height and speed can both be tailored to your requirements. During the growing season, the grass box holds about a week’s worth of growth for my rear garden meaning that I only have to empty it once. Also, mine came with a bottle of oil for the engine which was a bonus.
