    Mr. C. CAMPBELL

1st I like to say, I really liked it and it’s features. BUT it is far too heavy and fiddly to use well.
Yes it can cut well when you can hold it long enough! But again far too hard to do that.

The placement of the top control hand grip for the pole is way too low down the total pole to be able to do any real long cutting.
in use you have to hold the hedge trimmer with you left or right hand on the two power switches at 1st to start it then let go the lock power safety one and then hold firmly on to the main power on switch in the handle which when holding the hedge trimmer even with the pole at it’s shortest length is very hard to do as your arm has to be fully extended downwards all the time so the power on switch is held firm.

This means that the other hand has also has to be either half or fully extended too to have your other hand up on the hand grip near the top of the lower pole section All that with almost 5 Kg of motor rigt up the top of the top section of the other pole.

The shoulder strip is badly placed to help support that weight as it hooks on to the back of the lower pole just before the top pole section is.
If you happen to wish to turn the pole a bit to the counter clock wise or the other way to cut better, that means you grip on the power switch is lost as it must be held firm in the upright direction to stop you losing the grip to hold it in the on power way?

And it is the lighter weight motor compared to most other brands do? I really wish it was better designed as the cutting when done right is good! Just the holding of it gets fiddly when you start un-locking the pole sections and extending the pole to the max length. then it really is impossible to hold it up for more than about 8 to 10 minutes.
And I am a strong person and even I could not hold it for more than 10 minutes. If the strap was able to be attached to the top pole section on the hand grip and the power on/off switch was able to be used half way up the lower pole as well as down the bottom of it, it would be better to control the cutting?

I be returning it sadly as for it to be usable it needs to be a better designed for real use.

It s for my husband , it was nearly as expected, except he didn’t realise how top heavy it would be . Used to trim hedge at bottom of garden .

brilliant bit of kit other than its a bit on the heavy side when extended as all the weight is on the end where the cutter is. cuts really well and you can get all the out of reach bits done with ease extended longer than expected so that was a nice surprise. easy to assemble. just slots together and tighten up with the installed twist grips. same for disassembly and great for storing if you don’t have much room. excellent cutter didn’t have a problem other than the weight. if your cutting above you and not having to keep swinging it up to cut shouldn’t be a problem (along the top of a hedge)

Slightly heavy in operation but only have a small hedge so not a problem.

Works well but it’s quit heavy.

Difficult to balance and hold, it’s a shame, just a poor design

Perfectly happy with this pole trimmer. It did very well on a juniper / leylandii hedge, although you would benefit from some upper body strength if you want to keep up the trimming for a while. It’s a decent bit of kit.
