It cost 5 times less than our previous toaster but performs the basic requirements just as well. While it lacks 2-3 options our former toaster performed we used these so seldom we don’t miss not having them. It is very simple to set up, basically plug in and go. It looks great and is very easy to clean. In terms of value for money we would have given it 10 stars but only 5 were avaiable.

The writing wiped off just from pressing the button. It now looks a mess .. it wasn’t cleaned with a cleaner .. the button was simply pressed and the writing smeared and has now completely gone.

When our old toaster caught fire I look at which toaster’s could be delivered same day and found this one. For £20 I took a gamble and it’s the best toaster we have ever had! Easy to use, easy to clean and makes amazing toast evenly. 5 stars!

It’s a lovely toaster and does the bread really well. However, we wouldn’t advise trying to toast teacakes as the slots aren’t wide enough and they get stuck, hence the 4* rating. Otherwise, no complaints.

Bought this on the strength of the good reviews. Alas, mine bears no relation to the positive comments. I should have sent it back straight away when the lever mechanism didn’t work properly at first ,and the stop button did not function. After a bit it seemed OK so I decided to persevere with it. I tried the first piece of toast on suggested setting of 3 and the toast burnt black! I tried the next one around the 2.5 setting and the toast was underdone on one side a just a bit toasted on the other. I had various attempts at trying to produce a piece of toast on an automatic setting without success – it was either burnt or aneamic. Then the stop button stopped working altogether. In the end I bought another toaster locally and will try for a refund from Amazon on this one as it is not fit for purpose.

It can be hard to find a toaster these days that accommodates longer items such as plain bread slices, as opposed to pan bread slices. This toaster is ideal and much cheaper than alternative long slice toasters. Would buy again.

Toast always gets stuck. Whoever designed this clearly didn’t use it before putting it on the market. The bread isn’t held securely by the wire racks and always flops to one side or the other wedging itself under a lip/ledge, then when it pops-up, the whole thing won’t pop-up properly because one or more slice has jammed the mechanism. Need to invest in a pair of wooden toaster tongs to first push down, then retrieve the toast from under the lip. In all the long slot toasters I’ve owned over the years this one is the worst. The whole family hates this toaster and we couldn’t be more delighted to find that it appears to be failing after 2.5 years. Given it 2 stars rather than 1 as it does otherwise do a passable job at toasting.

Does in general perform ok, just watch out for sharp edges in side and may need to do bread twice to achieve right brown colour.
