   The ‘JUBORUI Tablet Holder Stand Desk, 360° Adjustable Gooseneck, 4.7″- 12.5″ Tablet/Smartphone’ arrived in a plain box.

   First I must address the products capacity which on the item received was different to that stated in the product title at the time of ordering and review. I measured the minimum capacity of the holder at 5.3inches which is larger than the minimum stated, and with clamps at maximum I measured 12inches though there may be a fraction more by compressing the foam protectors in the holder I do not believe it reaches the 12.5inches stated, and would suggest 11.5 inches be considered a more appropriate for the maximum. The desk clamping capacity was measured at slightly more than stated, but that is an advantage and there is no minimum capacity as the clamp fully closes.

   The desk clamp uses a steel bracket with both surfaces that would touch the desk having rubber protection to prevent scratches, and with the tap type handle it is easy to tighten the clamp. The arm of the clamp although flexible is quite stiff and I suggest it is best to plan where the holder is needed before making any bends. The arm uses a ball joint to attach to the holder but requires the nut on the holder to be removed and placed the right way around over the arm before pushing the ball into the socket, and then fitting and tightening the nut

   The holder has two independently sprung arms which have strong springs pulling them closed. The socket bracket has to be fitted by the user and this is where instructions for those that need them would have been an advantage. The socket bracket is symmetrical but not the rear of the holder, and I suggest placing the holder so that the wider sections of all four slots are to the right as in my pictures, it should be noted that between the right hand slots there is a flexible safety stopper. The socket bracket ‘clips’ must be positioned over the wider area of the 4 slots then pushed down to overcome the safety stopper and pushed to the left so the clips are in the narrow sections of the slots, which will allows the safety stopper to rise holding the bracket from moving. I would recommend that when the holder is installed on the arm that the safety stopper should be at the bottom as if it is placed at the top and fails or the bracket is not fully engaged there is a risk of the holder falling along with any device attached.

   Due to the lack of instructions and erroneous capacity measurements I have given this product a 3 star review rating. If the issue with measurements were resolved and instructions provided for those that need them I would have certainly given a 5 star review rating as this is one of the best arm/holder combinations I have encountered to date.

   If you need to attach your tablet or 12.5 inch screen to your desk for more screen space, then you cant go far wrong with the JBORUI Tablet holder. In the box you find the actual tablet holder is a 3 piece assembly, its part bendy metal and part plastic for the actual mount.

   it actually took me a moment to connect the dots on the giant round edge that pops into the tablet main mount. Then you just screw up the end and your practically done. the actual fixing to the desk is a standard screw mount, so should fit most standard desks. The assembly arm can rotate and the actual assembly mount can also rotate, albeit you need to secure it when your done rotate the tablet in position.

   The tablet holder will take most tablets up to 12.5 inches as long as they have flat backs, so most windows tablets/ipads should work. The tablet mount is essentially universal so should work with everything android including mac tablets too. You can also fit phones landscape wise, but bear in mind the pressure it exerts on say the galaxy zflip screen for example before doing this sort of phone mounting position. The desk should not be more than 2.4 inches thick if you want to to utilise the device. Also the reach of the holder on the desk is around 11 inches height for the arm, though you can alter this or bend it lower if you wish. (max height).

   Pros: Easy to use, Easy to assemble, most 12.5 inch tablets can be mounted and rotated.
   Cons: None beyond size and location limitations of tablets, no manual supplied.
