There’s not much suck. The manual doesn’t say whether the filter should be in or out for wet vacuuming. The battery life is very poor, and then takes ages to charge. Karcher make a faster charger but don’t supply it with the tools. The battery died completely after a few months and had to be replaced. I bought a second battery and that too has completely died. Overall, very poor.

This is ideal for when you are decorating or the car needs a quick hoover. Light and easy to set up. Battery lasts approximately 10 minutes – at 5 minutes power left/used the suction seems to drop off.

Luckily I have the 5ah battery which helps. Great piece of equipment to add the shed of Karcher battery tools!

Love it, perfect apart from battery life 12 minutes is ridiculous after a 4 hour charge

I have had a mains powered WD1 for many years that I have used and abused! It’s faults are that it is extremely noisy, top heavy, always tipping over and at a 1000W uses a lot of electricity for its actual performance.

I have been looking for a cordless wet & dry vacuum for mainly dust extraction. My first choice would of been by Worx as I have a lot of their tools and 9 batteries and 2 fast chargers but the hose on their module has a built in crevasse tool so wouldn’t be suitable.

This model is normally around £200 which is way too expensive, even more on their own website.

    When I saw it was on offer for £ 130 I thought I would take a chance? I wish I hadn’t!

First impressions were good. I unpacked it and put the battery on charge which said on the display it was at 20%. It took over 3 hours with the supplied charger to fully charge!

When inserted and started up the power of suction was barely adequate! I had only test run it for a few minutes and the battery had dropped by almost 20% so I let it run and it only lasted about 15 minutes and there was a noticeable drop in performance as the battery was depleted!

I decided to check out comments on the Karcher website and was surprised by the amount of 1* negative comments. Mainly about the battery which seems to have a common fault of dying and unable to charge. A lot of the reviews noted that the Customer Services were very unhelpful and it was often mentioned that it was believed that they were aware of an issue with these batteries?

Well based on that and the performance I had seen I decided to return it. The cost of a spare or replacement battery is ridiculous. Generally around £87 for the low 2 amp battery. I didn’t bother checking to price of a more powerful one, but it would imagine it would be in the £100’s?

For the price they are charging. They should at least supply a 5 amp battery and fast charger and even a spare battery?

There’s making a profit and there’s taking the ‘P’ Imean it’s made in China!

Personally I think this has really let the brand down. It really is a bit of a ‘Donkey!’ The retail price of it is totally unjustified. And the price of replacement dust bags is, well just extortionate!

I’ve had issues with their jet washers in the past and not just the basic models? Based on this and previous experiences I doubt if I would even consider another Karcher product?

Before you consider I recommend you check out the reviews on Karchers own UK website first and draw your own conclusions. At least they are honest enough to post the negative reviews, for now?

    Disappointed of Farnborough

As a small portable vacuum and blower unit it is reasonably effective for small vacuum jobs, wet or dry. However, the mandatory battery supplied (2.5amp) is a waste of space as it only gives 10 minutes run time and the cheap charger supplied takes 4 hours to charge to full. 8 hours for the larger battery which gives 20 mins run time.

The product should have an option to upgrade to the 5.0amp battery at point of sale, but beware, the fast charger is another £45 on top of the £80 for the larger battery upgrade sold separately. The upgrade is effectively an additional 2/3rds of the original product cost. I should have gone deWalt, who know how to supply battery power to its products, and it’s the same colour.
