Amazon Customer –
Best mop ever! Pricey but worth it – light and glides effortlessly whilst cleaning & collecting small debris (animal hair…..the vacuum didn’t collect)!
Brian Ives –
So far so good. Doing a good job so far only complaint after use takes quite some time to clean ready for next time.

I think Karcher were the first to market with this product and it shows now other options are available
The positives
– when it works it does a great job
– easy to use
– looks smart
– battery lasts a long time
– general build quality is good
The neutral
– it is quite pricey but other options are in the same price band
The negatives
– it is overly complicated, lots of bits and pieces
– roller combs which are there to keep debris off the rollers easily clog up and are difficult to clean (you literally have to pick the muck out of them)
– the dirty water tray is in the head against the floor, it comes apart to easily leading to frustrating spillage of dirty water
– floor squeegees are built into the dirty water tray, they are easily chipped and damaged by floor imperfections and cannot be replaced (the entire dirty water tray is the only option for £50) – our old wooden floors have slight difference between the boards, this is enough to damage them – I would only recommend on Lino, karndean or similar perfect floors
– the washer jets seems to block up easily needing several cleaning cycles or picking with a pin to clear
– the storage tray makes no sense, to clip the unit onto the top you have to remove the dirty water tray and put it into the box, who wants to have to move things around and reassemble each time? Just want to grab and go – this means the storage box ir rarely used and just takes up space until cleaning is needed
Our first unit had a rear motor failure after just 5 months but Amazon replaced without issues
Looking at the Dyson and other brands – they seem to be more like traditional carpet cleaners with proper dirty water containers and the parts touching the floor and doing the work seem cheap and replaceable
Now there are other options if I was purchasing today I would look at one of these and not buy this unit again
Update – after 13 months May 2025
– original unit failed after 6 months, rear rollers stopped turning, likely gearbox failure
– Amazon replaced without any quibble
– replacement unit has failed after 6 more months. Same issue with front rollers stopped turning drive
– blades on edges of replacement water tray wear at the slightest touch making cleaning streaky
– combs and blades to keep rollers clear and collect muck are fiddly, block up quickly and hard to clean
– have decided to return for full refund and try another brand
– it’s a nice device when it works but it’s too complicated, fiddly to clean and seems fragile with the same failure twice

As you are probably feeling right now reading reviews, I too was a bit concerned by the negative reviews reporting excess water and streaks. Let’s get this out of way: it doesn’t happen for me. Maybe some models are defective, or perhaps they were incorrectly assembled by their owners, but, anyway, I can confidently report that it can work well. Very well in fact.
I have ~80sqm (860 sqf) of matt white tiles which are dirt magnets. Bucket and mop is a substantial effort, and result isn’t that great – that, or I just don’t have the skills required. I previously owned a Bissell CrossWave, which worked pretty well for that area, until it broke down. The Karcher FC7 replaced it and it was overall a big improvement:
– The manoeuvrability of the Karcher is fantastic. It effortlessly moves over tiles and under furniture, while scrubbing the tiles better than the Bissell did (and it wasn’t bad at it). I guess 4 rolls make a difference.
– The battery runtime is sufficient for my 80 sqm. As others reported, the waste water tank is small and needs emptying frequently. It’s not as annoying as it sounds really, also I’m sure later iterations of the model will have a bigger tank.
– It is much less noisy than the Bissell. However, the Bissell acts as a vacuum as well as a floor cleaner, which the Karcher doesn’t do: you have to vacuum the floor, before. I have a vacuum for carpeted areas, so this wasn’t an extra purchase I had to make.
I can say the job of cleaning the tiles got pleasing, and the result very satisfying. The instructions to assemble and maintain could be better, as it’s not as common nor simple as a vacuum cleaner. Nothing is complex, but you really need to do it once yourself to understand. Great piece of engineering, great cleaning results, maybe a bit pricey. One of the best purchases I’ve made for the house.

Broken twice since it arrived 3 months ago, now outside return window. No Karcher repair option in Abu Dhabi and they charged pick up and drop off fee for repair in Dubai. Very slow response from Karcher customer service too.

This is a fantastic floor cleaner. The hard wood floors in our house look fantastic and so do the kitchen tiles. The cleaner removes cat/dog food spatter effectively. An expensive unit that I feel it is worth every penny. It stores neatly standing up but the big draw back is the maintenance if you are expecting a Dyson style cleaner you are going to be slightly disappointed.
After using you need to run a clean cycle empty cleaning container remove the 4 reusable rollers and pop in to a washing machine to clean wipe down and clean up the unit luckily some good instructions are with the unit.
This amount of cleaning is understandable as it picks up wet dirt and let’s be honest it would begin to smell pretty quickly if it did not have this maintenance.
I am very pleased with the finished result and the floor afterwards is reasonably dry and very clean. I don’t know how long the battery’s last as we use the unit on 3 good size rooms without any issues.

Read instructions and it is a piece of cake.
Leaves floors super clean and dry in 10 mins.
Couldn’t believe the dirt it got up.
We have a fair amount of hard floor (Karndean) and it only took about 25 mins to do the lot, took me an hour with a mop. Then had to wait half an hour to dry.
Genius bit of kit.

I have had very good results with this cleaner. Clean and dirty water reservoirs a little on the small size but for domestic use I can cope. My dog makes the floors filthy in bad weather, this machine cleans it all no problem. The machine has to be cleaned after every use and I am putting the four rollers through the washing machine every two weeks to freshen them up. Despite the regular maintenance, I highly recommend it.
