Lovely kettle that worked beautifully for 2 months. Yesterday, when filling, water started to run out at the bottom edge of the glass due to a crack in the glass where the bottom turns to go vertically allowing a gaping movement of 2 to 3 mm, hence the leak. It resembled the sole of a shoe coming loose at the toe. The fracture site was smooth and not sharp so presumably the glass is manufactured in 2 parts and sealed but poorly so. It has ended up in the bin. So beware of buying this kettle

As I reducing plastic in my house I swaped plastic kettle for glass one which is amazing I can pour in water what I need. Boiling in 1 minute.

We bought this to replace another which cracked around the glass edged rim.
We absolutely love this kettle – it’s far superior in quality to the big brand named kettles we’ve previously purchased.
Update: March 2024 unfortunately the kettle began to leak around the seal under the spout between the glass and the silver coloured band (after 8 months of use). We returned the kettle and a refund was issued promptly – which is commendable – so I would buy from the seller again. However we needed to get a replacement kettle quickly while the refund was being sorted and in this instance we shopped offline.

Still, a great kettle but just watch the seals.
