There is always the danger of wasting energy by over filling a too big kettle. This is fine for 2 cupfuls. It’s a nice neat design – and being white looks good on the worktop surface.. The one design fault I found was the wind-up mechanism for the lead at the base of the kettle. The lead can be stored and lengthened by turning the ‘handle’ at the bottom of the base, First of all I didn’t understand its purpose. It was quite stiff to unwine, then about 1/2 its length then released, so long enough to plug into a socket. Both in the factory and when you want to wind up then unwind the lead (for a holiday) it is difficult to wind it up evenly. For this I have given 4s, but I feel it is no reason not to buy it – just be aware. on your first time.

Using with a power bank. The 600W rating is accurate. About 591W consumption. Uses 30Wh to make a normal size cup of tea in winter. I measure the water in cup first so no energy is wasted.
Lid seemed loose when took it out of the box but once it is hot the lid does not come loose or fall off when pouring. Cord storage nice and compact.
Only slightly bigger than a 500ml travel kettle it replaced. That was 1000w so didn’t get used much as it would have been easier to use gas than bring out a generator to make a cup of tea. I ended up just brewing coffee instead. Also the cord was fixed and short so not that great. Now I can have tea whenever I want.

I wanted a ‘small’ kettle as I live on my own and was always overfilling the standard size 1.7 litre kettle, plus it was too big for my worktop. So I looked around and this one was the nicest- as well as the smallest – of the many I looked at. So I bought it and I’m very pleasantly surprised! Firstly, its tiny – half the size of a ‘normal’ kettle and it boils exactly two cups, which is perfect for me. Takes up very little room on my counter. Its quiet. It does take about 4 minutes to boil its full capacity of 800ml, but I’m not in a hurry and anyway, the small size is worth the wait. Quality is good as well – it feels like a solid product. So yes, very happy with it and would definitely recommend if you are looking for a compact kettle.

Seems to be rated at 220 volts but my mains is 245 volts so wattage is around 760 watts not 600w. Also , the top feels loose when cold but tightens up when hot.

I purchased this for use in a Caravan where the lower the wattage the better. The product looks and feels good quality and I have been using it most of the year without issue. It has an insulate design meaning once boiled the water does generally stay warm for longer than plastic kettles and the size allows me to boil a single cup quickly, but would not really do more than two people in any boil as it is a smaller kettle after all. – however I am very pleased with the purchase and will look to buy one for the house too once my house kettle gives up as I usually only boil for me most of the time anyway. A great purchase.

This is not a cheap travel kettle. It is metal body not plastic so no nasty plastically aftertaste. Base heat not coil so you don’t need to boil a minimum 500ml but obviously make sure you put enough water in. Officially rated 220V and actually pulls very slightly more than the indicated 600W but unless you need to boil a large volume of water quickly no problem whatsoever with the time. Oh yes it also comes with a moulded plug. Highly recommended.
