Light and easy to use. Cuts well and the long cord is better. Don’t bother with folding handle as I can prop it up in a corner of shed. Plastic spanner useless for slackening nut as it gets really tight on. Use a sturdy adjustable spanner.

I thought, due to the 4.1 rating that this mower would be much better. My McAllister of over 15 years decided it had had enough after the first cut of the season. Being only 4ft 11″ I specifically wanted a mower with much the same specs, height, weight etc. I looked at a lot of information, on different sites, and even though there were some negative reviews, this seemed about the best. I was wrong. It is supposed to be the same weight as my old mower but it does not hover with any way near the airflow and therefore makes it more of a push me/pull you, not great for my back. Even though I had all 3 spacers in, the cut wasn’t very good at all. The collector box doesn’t fill up that quickly but I’d say that was down to the fact that it throws quite a lot out. The handle would fold down but you have to basically dismantle it, for it to do so, I won’t bother, luckily I’ve got the room to store unfolded. I really can’t be bothered with the hassle of dismantling/reboxing and returning. So in sort, it’ll do. Only plus side, decent length cable. Dread to think how it will cope with the first cut of the season. Steer clear.

Easy to assemble with good quality parts and fixings – previous reviewers who say handle is loose/it won’t fold have probably not assembled it properly. A bit of care and determination paid off! Because of failure of my old mower just before going on holiday grass hadn’t been cut for 4-5 weeks but no problem for this machine, even with blade on lowest setting. Its like having a Flymo from the more simple days with spacers for blade depth and grass box right on top of the motor/blade, but the clever torque feature brings it up to date. Patches of longer grass no problem. All round good value, light and pleasant to use but does an excellent job.

I’ve got about 3/4 of an acre of mixed lawn and orchard. For half of that I use a ride-on mower, the rest I cut with a push mower. I replaced a 20 year old Flymo with this mower, and I like it so far.
I especially like the fact that you can bypass grass collection and go straight to mulch (it makes the mower much lighter and easier to use). The motor is powerful, and can cut 4- or 5 inch grass with ease. The cable could be longer. I managed to cut through it the first time I used the mower (always use an RCD!), but it was easy to repair by cutting it back and rewiring to the switch box. Just a Phillips screwdriver needed, and a soldering iron to tin the conductor.

We had an isdue with a broken grass collection box.The whole lawnmover was replaced within 1 day. Its easy to use,not over heavy and value for money

Having used a Flymo all of the time I was very disappointed when my last Flymo’s ring came out of the top where the spindle for the motor was. It became that bad the guard for the ball bearings became visible. This began to break up and it snapped causing the ball bearings to come out. Eventually it lost that many it effected the way that it worked to a stage where the motor would not spin any more. This was a month after it’s 2 year warranty expired. This unit on the other hand has a cap that screws over to protect the motors spindles ball bearings. It is very easy to move and cuts the grass even better than the Flymo. Adding to that, it picks up the grass a damn sight better than the Flymo too. It takes less moving of the mower and picks up the cut grass straight away making it a dream to use. Flymo have missed a trick by not putting a simple cap over the top to protect their motors spindle and its components. If it happens to your Flymo its a case of you buying a new motor and for the price of a new motor, you might as well buy a new unit as the motors are very expensive. The shop that repairs lawn mowers told me that this is a regular occurrence with Flymo’s and happens to most of the Flymo units. I was advised to stay away from a hover type of lawn mower due to this flaw with their design, but this company has taken notice about the flaw and have addressed it, so that their units work perfectly.

Es ist inzwischen Recht unverschämt was für einen Mist man kauft , zum zweiten mal diesen Schweberasenmäher gekauft . Bei erster Lieferung wurde ein Schwebe Mulcher geliefert , Retoure beim zweiten Anlauf habe ich nach dem Zusammenbau bemerkt ,das die Verkabelung incl. Stecker UK ist und nicht EU konform , natürlich wieder Retoure

After plenty of research I settled upon this one to replace my almost 30 year old Flymo 330 that died a death last week. Tried it out this afternoon and was very pleased with the results. It is very light and the 1800 watt engine makes the mower glide effortlessly over my uneven medium sized garden. Very easy to assemble. The mulching feature is a nice bonus. The way the machine glides over the lawn is great, as is the length of the cut. It also totally destroyed the taller weeds on the edges of the garden. The blade is superb in this respect and the double edged feature on the blade is another bonus. I also found it easy to move the mower with one hand. The length of the cord is a bit short but it is 5 metres longer than the cord on most comparable models. Also the fold away handle feature is bit of a chore but not a deal breaker. A bit plasticky compared to my old mower but I think all mowers are like this in order to achieve the light weight that makes them so easy to move and lift. I wish I had bought this one earlier, as it would have saved me years of backache as my old mower was considerably heavier than this one. All in all a great mower for the price.
