Mr. A. S. Lear –
I bought this for my son so he could do his college work. Just as a silly test, and mainly because I hadn’t seen any machine with Intel Arc graphics we tried Cyberpunk 2077 on the laptop, and it ran quite well on medium level settings. Now if you know anything about gaming you will know Cyberpunk whilst now a few years old is still a very demanding game.
My son fired up Minecraft, and he is a wizard at all, telling me about chunk sizes, etc.
All I know, I worked in IT, and have used many laptops over the 20 years or so I have been doing IT for. This laptop is certainly up there with the better laptops I have used. Lovely glossly OLED screen, a real pleasure to work on.
I am quite jealous. And for those who are thinking my son just appears to game on this laptop. Sadly no, he spends most of thie day just using Chrome, and the Office suite. The games were simply installed to get a feel for how the laptop could cope with load etc.

Super fast and good battery.
Stephen C Dickin –
Wonderful laptop. Fast, rugged and has plenty of memory and disk space. I’m very impressed.
ZAN –
Quality good battery life is good size is also good
Mr. John Muir –
sturdy good looking laptop bought as a replacement for an outdated HP. lovely soft touch keyboard and responsive touch pad. Should have gone for a higher capacity drive but could not afford.
Lyman Zerga –
Decent laptop for everyday home use, but I’m very surprised that no reviewers have mentioned the touchpad yet.
Like most laptops these days, this one comes with one of the smooth, ‘buttonless’ touchpads. Obviously it does have buttons – two of them – but they’re effectively hidden beneath the lower part of the touchpad. This is such a retrograde ‘evolution’ of touchpads, if you ask me. Having separate buttons just worked. With these new buttonless touchpads, while you can press the touchpad just about anywhere to perform a left-click, when you press it, unless you’re vary careful, you’ll invariably accidentally move the cursor a little bit – which usually means you mis-click. Infuriating. And the area of the touchpad that you need to press to do a right-click is tiny – basically it’s about 2cm x 2cm, right in the bottom-right corner. And to move your finger or thumb to that very tiny section of the pad will almost certainly result in you inadvertently moving the cursor again. Which means another misclick.
You’ll get better at it over time, but it’ll never be as fluent or natural a process as it used to be to press an actual button that was separate to the touchpad. And while you’re getting used to it, it’ll drive you mad each time you misclick. I’m considering going back to using a mouse, to save myself getting infuriated with the constant misclicks.
Sadly, to get a laptop that has separate buttons beneath the touchpad these days means shelling out for a high-end, high-spec machine, which means paying far more than you want to if all you want is a capable laptop for basic home use.
Paul –
Very nice machine for the money
MR W. –
Very nice well made laptop which feels solid. Overall performance is inline with what to expect of the CPU, memory & storage specs.
BUT…
Pay careful attention to the specs of the ports for connecting external devices. The usage of some external devices could be very limited to the specs. In my case:
1) HDMI port support max resolution of 1920×1080, so connecting it to 4K TV/monitor means you can’t get max resolution.
2) USB C port are only 3.1 gen 1 (max 5gbs) which may not be an issue for most, but if you going to use displaylink adapters or transferring large amounts of data from USB attached disk this can seriously affect performance.
These port limitations were too significant for me and I will be returning the laptop.
UPDATE…
I would advise that if you have any doubts about the PC specs meeting your needs you steer clear of this laptop. The return process has proven to be very problematic and time consuming. You need to factor in the full customer experience in the purchasing process which includes post sales support and possible return, which in this case has left me fully regretting the purchase of this laptop.
There many alternative laptops at similar price point with superior overall specs.
