This is an excellent television when you judge it by picture quality and depth of features. BUT. There are two issues that for me reduce the rating by one star. They both relate to viewing ripped DVD and bluray and specifically discs ripped to MKV format. The first is that this television does not recognise embedded subtitles so they have to be extracted to a separate file. Pain number 1. Issue 2 is the dreaded “this video does not support audio” message which in most cases means that there is no sound for bluray ripped to MKV using the TrueHD soundtrack. The TV just doesn’t understand this audio format. So you can either re-rip all of your blurays (can’t be bothered doing that again) OR you install a third party streaming server which thankfully this TV does support. I have gone with Emby which works pretty well with my setup. But the fact that you need to do this tells you that LG have not spent very much time thinking about streaming. Perhaps this could be fixed with a firmware update but I’m guessing that a 2022 TV won’t be fixed. My old Samsung TV had no issues except with the odd subtitled film.
Otherwise a great TV for the money but if you stream MKV’s (expecially subtitled ones) beware.

Honestly just an amazing tv. There really aren’t many better options available.
The picture quality is incredible and all of the smart aspects are lightning quick and excellently put together.
My only two small gripes are the shortcut buttons on the remote not being remappable (who has even heard of Rakuten play) and that the panel is quite reflective so it is best used in a darker room.
But overall I’d buy this again in a heartbeat, it has impressed everyone who has seen it and friends have bought their own after seeing it.

Ideal set up for running a pc, I do not game at a desk first of all, I like to sit back on a couch in a spare room, monitors this size are always too small, too expensive or ultrawide. This is perfect! The quality of oled is outstanding, no ghosting, bright deep blacks and colours. 120hz more that suits my needs as I am not a competitive gamer. You need an AMD 6 series GPU or Nvidia 3000 series to utilize hdmi 2.1. This blows any monitor I’ve had before out the water for me!
Then can hit the home button and stream content via the smart TV aspect in 4k (Netflix etc does not stream 4k In a web browser on pc) so the LG webos is a good solution.
My only gripe is the flimsy plastic feet which are fiddly and brittle when installing, just be cautious.
But definitely bang for buck If you want a decent gaming screen, bigger than a monitor, exceptional quality.

I bought this TV to replace an 8 year old Sony TV. The picture is fabulous. It took a bit of fiddling around with the settings to get the picture I wanted. It looks great with regular HD television pictures via my Virgin V6 box. The sound quality is also (to me at least) very good as well without any soundbar. The 4k content via You Tube, BBC I player or Amazon looks absolutely stunning. Fantastic lifelike colours on things like Blue Planet.
I have watched various reviews and experts talking about all kinds of technical details which I don’t fully understand. In the end I just went with what looks good to me.
The only minus points are that setting up an LG account was very fiddly involving an LG app. The “magic remote” is also fiddly for me. I confess I have not really utilised the voice remote function.
Overall though this is a great TV, great picture and sound and I love it !

If you’re looking to purchase your first OLED TV, look no further. 55″ is the sweet spot between price and size in my opinion.
Picture quality left us speechless, it has most if not all mainstream streaming apps included such as YouTube, disney+, Netflix etc.
It is great to watch movies as well as play on the console such as PS5 and the audio quality is fantastic, we use 10/100 audio volume and that’s pretty loud so we felt no need to enhance our experience with cinema stereo.
Assembly was tricky as the monitor is very thin and wide so I had to be extra careful, keep in mind another person for help when you will be assembling it.

The TV was easy to set up and is very easy to operate. Still early doors so playing around with the settings to get the best results. The picture quality is just amazing and many times better than anything I have had before and I have had some good TVs. The sound is so much better than expected and I now have a spare Echo Studio which is just not needed with this TV. Highly recommended so grab a bargain before stocks run out as the 2023 model is so much dearer.

Having had an older generation LG 4k TV, I was more thank happy to upgrade to a newer LG model when the time came. The picture is sharp and colours deep and impressive.
The size is perfect for me, with the right amount of HDMI ports (4) for my external devices.
The remote and interface may not be to everyone’s liking, but having been used to it for a couple of years I find it OK.
Really good TV, really enhances my enjoyment of UHD and HD content
