My first magimix was noisy and a faulty seal meant food leaked out.

It was an exchanged after several conversations with an Indian call centre who were generally difficult to deal with.

My second magi mix was was much louder, at times well over 100dbl (I kept getting Apple Watch noise alerts)

After a while the electrics started emitting a burning smell.

I can’t go through the trouble of another Indian call centre so have disposed of the magimix and gone for a different brand.

I won’t be buying magimix again.

This blender has changed my life…well, my cooking life anyway. I am in love with this blender. It is so powerful. The puree’s you can make with this are silky smooth. it is great for smoothies too!

This is a big blender, ideal for bulk blending for the freezer or for a large family. The container is made of thick glass which makes it quite heavy but also gives a feeling of quality. The lid can be a bit difficult to remove as it is a very tight fit (I am 76 and my hands are not as strong as they used to be). Using the blender could not be easier – chop up bulky ingredients, select the mode and press “Auto” – job done. I have used it to make soups, smoothies and as a mill – all with excellent results. Cleaning is also easy – there is a built-in cleaning mode which does the hard work and the base is easily removed to clear any stubborn bits and to dry it. My only complaint is that the “plug” for the centre of the lid is not the best fit and does not always stay in place – a minor inconvenience. Overall, a well made blender with a good motor, which feels as if it will last a long time. Excellent value.

I did a lot of research before deciding to buy this blender and I’m very happy with it.

I read a lot of blogs, comparisons and even subscribed to ‘Which?’ just to read the review on this blender. This was their top rated blender (equal with another blender made by Sage that cost slightly more).

Downsides others have noted are the weight of the glass. I prefer the slightly bulkier glass, it feels more premium and sturdy. It also has the benefit of being able to blend hot items such as soup which will be a big win by the time we get to winter.

So far I’ve tried a few different vegetable / fruit smoothies and have been pleased with the results. They match the outcomes found in the very extensive ‘Which?’ review.

Making milkshakes with this blender is a dream, just need to turn it on, set the mode to Smoothies, and hit the auto button which will do the rest! I get a very nice finely blended milkshake, the milk gets aerated perfectly.

It’s pretty heavy, so you have to be careful when handling the unit. Though this is to be expected since most of this is metal and glass after all.

I was disappointed with the quiet mark certification, naturally I would think this would be decently quieter than most other blenders. However, it’s pretty loud, which is why I’m dropping one star.

Overall, it’s a pretty great blender, just don’t expect it to be quieter than other blenders despite the quiet mark certification.

This is a heavy, solid piece of kit, which replaces another brand’s blender I had used for years but didn’t like for various reasons. The Magi mix Blender Power 4 has a heavy glass jug that feels really solid and is very easy to connect and disconnect from the motor. The motor itself has a range of options, and it is MUCH quieter than my old machine. It also has a self-cleaning operation for cleaning out the jug, which is brilliant; you just quickly rinse it afterwards and dry with a cloth. A really well thought out machine, which gets used a lot for blending various things, from juices to soups [cool soup contents first], also blends ingredients well, for yogurts and kefirs.

Bought this as an alternative to a Kitchen Aid, what with Magimix being a highly reputable brand, but was ultimately left disappointed.

A big selling point was the Quiet Mark Approval, as I previously had a Ninja blender which would sound like a jet engine. Whilst this was quieter, It was still fairly loud, to the point I was getting notifications on my watch about noise level.

It wasn’t the best at grinding, I was left with large pieces of dates unblended in my shake (despite putting it in the order recommended).

It was already highly priced to being with, so it doesn’t help that in order to buy a smaller cup, you would have to shelve out £30+ so you’re essentially stuck with a 2l jug just to make one glass.

Amazing blender. Blends everything easily, not overly loud.
Made a really creamy soup too
