   Light and full of power , brought this as I had batteries anyway and the usual petrol trimmers were all getting a bit to heavy for my bad shoulder . Easily cuts through branches 15mm thick .

   Positives : This is a powerful trimmer that can easily cut through branches as wide as my index fingers and can at a push work through branches as thick as my thumb. It’ll go though hedging that my old black and decker trimmers would get stuck on.

   Negatives : it automatically turns itself off if you don’t press the trigger for 5 seconds. I can’t tell you how annoying that can be, repeatedly having to press the on switch whilst wearing a think set of gardening gloves.
   Also, it runs through 3ah batteries in about 30 mins, so if you’ve a lot of hedges to cut you will need to have multiple batteries charged.

   Excellent piece of kit. Up to Makita normal high standard.
   Works well and it does cut branches up to about 2cm.
   Good battery life.
   Minor downside is that it’s on the heavy side.

   Easy to use, good quality. Not cheap to buy but definitely worth it. Quite light weight being a woman still find it easy to use.
   Battery didn’t come with it, bought seperately. Battery last a long time and charging quickly.
   Not noisy. Now I’m after more of their products.

   Only used it once but I’m impressed so far. Has made pruning large shrubs so much easier. Good, sturdy design with several different angle settings makes it very versatile. Slightly heavy but the shoulder strap helps distribute the weight and you really don’t notice. Bought this one because I already have Makita batteries for other tools. Really pleased so far.

   Bought this to trim the top of a field hedge and also clear unruly brushwood around it as well as for shaping bushes like laurel.
   It fulfills all tasks brilliantly, able to cut through relatively thick bush branches. Battery use is economical typically lasting 30-45 minutes of heavy cutting.
   The only downside is that it is heavy. But it is well balanced and the shoulder-neck strap makes it easy to manipulate.
   The blade can be angled for hedge cutting or straight for bush shaping and the speed altered for fine cutting work, though the multiple button press isn’t immediately obvious and takes learning. The blade direction is reversible to untangle if it gets stuck.
   Basically it has cut everything I’ve wanted and is well built so should last a long time.

    Den hade fått en femma om inte avstängningstiden varit så kort. Dvs stannar du kniven stänger den av sig på mindre än 2 sekunder. Då måste du först trycka på “on” först, därefter på knapparna för att köra igång kniven. Lite irriterande om man stoppar ofta. Gör att man låter kniven gå i stort sett hela tiden för att slippa momentet.

    I övrigt en väl fungerande häcksax med bra räckvidd.

    It’s quite heavy but sturdy. Works very well. Use the strap to take the load. I’m using a 3amp battery pack and it’s more than enough for 4 large bags of hedge trimmings.
