   Purchased beginning of July 2022, and have used it everyday since, often running multiple times a day.

   Timer function is really handy, and really easy to set up and change (you have an hour and minute button, so putting it back less than an hour is a bit of a pain).

   You can put any amount of water in the tank and it will make that much coffee. However making less than half a pot is a really inefficient use of coffee grounds so wouldn’t recommend if you want to make small amounts at a time.

   The thermos pot keeps it hot for at least 4 hours (6 if you don’t mind luke warm coffee).

   Fairly easy to clean, as most parts can be removed. The pot can be a bit fiddly to hand wash due to the rim.

   All in all, a really decent coffee machine for the price. Compared to a family member’s $200 US Ninja machine, I notice 0 difference in taste using the same coffee grounds.

   After my 15 year old machine finally gave up the ghost, I researched filter coffee machines till I was blue in the face: there are so very many to choose from and pros and cons for them all. I eventually decided on a Melitta, as I wanted to try the original German version of a filter coffee machine and to try paper filters instead of mesh. I’m pleased with my purchase. The machine is easy to set up and use. It makes coffee quickly and keeps it very hot, which was important for me. The machine is pre-set to keep coffee hot for 40 minutes, but you can easily change the setting to 20 or 60 minutes, and if it goes off before you’re ready you can switch it on again immediately. The machine looks really good and the pot is a lovely shape and pours without dripping. The pot, lid and swivel filter case can go in the dishwasher, another plus point for me. The only reason I have not given it five stars is because I like strong coffee and to start off, I thought the coffee was a bit weak. Now, I put an extra spoonful in the filter and am happy with the result. I do think the paper filters give a better, more mellow flavour than the mesh filter on my old machine. Overall, I am pleased with the Melitta machine, I think it’s good value for money, and I would recommend it.

   After 18 months can confirm this has been an excellent purchase. Easy to use and delivers good results, in reasonable time. After a few decades and several different filter machines and a long period using cafetières, this is the best we have had. The quality of the coffee you put in comes through. This model (with or without timer) was one of only two recommended by a consumer magazine, and the other cost many hundreds of pounds, so good value.
   It does the job without fuss – easy to fill and run, keep-warm function handily cuts off so no baked-on coffee to deal with. Other machines frequently spat on the hot plate but this one does not drip, provided you wait until it has stopped processing. We use compostable paper filters so easy to clean up after.
   We have hardly used the timer function so would not bother if buying again.
   A good choice,

   Perfetta in tutto, ben progettata, bella, comoda, potente, facile da pulire, una spanna sopra tutte le altre (molte) macchinette per il caffè americano che ho avuto prima.

   I’m really pleased with this filter coffee machine. I researched a lot, was tempted by SMEG but to refill the water is difficult with those, where as with the Melitta it’s quick and easy. Great tasting coffee, 6 mugs on full, I use the timer every night, hotplate stays hot for 45 mins, machine is really quiet. It’s pretty compact on the work surface, would recommend

   J’ai longtemps considéré les cafetières thermos comme un gadget mais franchement ça vaut le coup ! Elle le vaut largement son prix.

   ~~~~~~ CAFETIERE PROGRAMMABLE ~~~~~~
   J’en avais marre d’attendre le matin, quand on a la tête endormie, préparer le café puis 10-15 min avant de pouvoir boire un café chaud.
   Si vous prenez une cafetière programmable, le thermos est indispensable sinon vous allez vous trouver avec un café tiède. Là c’est le duo parfait : Programme + Thermos . D’ailleurs je ne comprends pas comment peut-on acheter une cafetière programmable avec un carafe en verre car ça existe. Je mets le programme à 7h00 et même si le weekend je me lève à 8h30 mon café est toujours chaud.

   Après quelques jours d’utilisation: Café bien chaud après 2h aucun souci !
   Le thermos est classe avec une qualité de fabrication impeccable. Le versement se fait très facilement sans bavures ou risque d’en mettre partout. D’ailleurs toute la cafetière est bien construite et l’ensemble est de bonne facture.

   ~~~~~~ RESERVOIR d’EAU ~~~~~~
   Réservoir amovible ce qui d’ailleurs fait que le prix est 30-40 euros de plus cher que la Melitta Look Therm timer REF 1011-16 avec réservoir fixe..Est-ce que ça vaut le coup..?? Le réservoir je le bouge pas trop car pour le remplir il est assez large de coté donc je verse l’eau directement. Par ailleurs le fait qu’il y ait un joint sur la base du réservoir le rend plus vulnérable au fuites mais pour l’instant pas de souci. On va dire c’est surtout utile pour le nettoyage. D’ailleurs la fabrication de cette version est plus haut de gamme que la Melitta Look therm timer REF 1011-16 qui est presque identique et 30% moins chère.

   Autres points positifs: La machine est très silencieuse et équipé d’une douchette pour bien sortir les aromes de café (molète en position Corsé). Sans programmation l’écoulement du café est très rapide. Pour 2 grandes tasses (mugs) environ 5-6 minutes d’écoulement. Elle dispose d’un programme de détartrage également indispensable car le calcaire est l’ennemi numéro 1 de toutes les machines à café.

   Les point NEGATIFS:

   – La programmation ne se tient pas en mémoire : il faut pas oublier chaque nuit d’activer le bouton “TIMER” ce que je trouve dommage car il m’est arrive de l’oublier et le matin obligé de la remettre en route.

   – Le câble est TRES court….environ 50cm à peine. Je trouve ça mesquin sur une cafetière de cette gamme de prix !

    If you are one of those muppets like me spending days browsing Amazon looking at coffee machines and reading reviews – you can’t really go wrong with this one.

    My criteria: an easy to use filter coffee machine, not having dozens of programmes, buttons and attachments for all kinds of coffee related drinks (just the basic cup of coffee will do for me), easy to clean, and doesn’t have one of those metallic reusable filters in it (paper filter is less faffing about). Aside from that, a brand which is established in Europe in case I need replacement parts. This brand also sells paper coffee filters which are a perfect fit. The box came with a handful of coffee filters but you will need more.

    Well pleased with this one.

    I don’t often write a review, but want to share how pleased I am with this coffee percolator.
    Firstly, everything is very easy access, clean and fill.
    I bought this machine for its timer option, which even for a technophobe like me, is really easy to set.
    My son gets up for work at 3.30am each morning, so knowing a steaming hot pot of coffee is waiting for him in the kitchen, I hope makes getting up that tiny bit easier. And it does make a steaming hot pot of coffee!
    I’m writing this review at 9.30am and have just poured a cup from the thermos jug the coffee filters into. While the coffee is no longer steaming, it was certainly still warm enough to drink.
    So for a delicious hot cup of coffee, a simple to use and set, elegant and very functional coffeemaker that doesn’t require those dreadful pods (which are appalling for the environment!), is good value and has the benefit of a really well insulated jug, I would highly recommend this coffee machine.

    I bought this after some scammer fake sold a Mr Coffee and ended up in a refund. It is just as good and decent quality. nice and easy to refill and empty the filter case.

    The timer function at first takes a couple tests but got there with a couple attempts. now I have a guaranteed morning brew waiting. It is also very quiet when brewing and it brews fast. If you wish to pour a cup mid brew it’ll pause in my experience (or I got extremely lucky).

    I would happily buy this brand and model again.
