I bought this carrier because my daughter has recently discovered the joy of looking at everything and my old sling had her pressed against my chest like a barnacle. The promise of a built in seat that spreads her weight and a wide waistband that fits a larger frame convinced me to give this pink edition a try.
The first outing was an eye opener. Sliding her onto the hip seat felt far more secure than balancing her in a fabric pouch and she immediately leaned forward to greet the world. The waistband sits low and wide so the bulk of her nine kilogram squirm is on my hips rather than my shoulders. After an hour around the park my back felt surprisingly fresh and I did not need the post walk stretch that had become routine with my previous carrier.
The air mesh fabric really does breathe. We have had a spell of warm weather and neither of us finished clammy. The panel wipes clean with a damp cloth which is just as well because the pale pink shows every drip of puréed pear. All the buckles snap with a reassuring click and the straps glide easily when I swap carrying duties with my partner who has a much slimmer waist. The detachable upper harness is handy for quick trips when I only need the seat for a five minute dash to the shop.
There are a few quirks worth noting. The hip seat cushion has a slight slope that tips my daughter forward if I do not pull the waist belt very snug. A flatter pad would feel more natural. The zip pocket on the belt just about holds a phone but a set of keys makes it bulge. I would also love an optional drool bib in matching pink because teething dribble quickly darkens the fabric.
Despite those niggles this carrier has become our daily go to. It lets my little explorer face outward without arching her back, and the weight limit gives us plenty of growing room. If you need a comfortable solution for an active baby and you appreciate thoughtful touches like breathable mesh and easy adjustment, this model delivers. Just keep a wipe handy for that pretty fabric.

Having two toddler granddaughters, I have tried many baby carriers over the past few years, and this 2-in-1 from MomCozy is by far my favorite.
My 18 month old granddaughter is large and in charge; she’s 34 inches long and weighs over 32 pounds. I am finally able to pack her around, both safely and comfortably, all because of this fabulously-designed carrier.
I love how easy this carrier is to put on; with no additional assistance needed, I can get her strapped in and ready-to-go within just a couple of minutes. The forward-facing position is extremely comfortable for both her and me.
Equipped with all of those handy storage pockets, I can easily carry all of our necessities while we are on-the-go. The buckles snap securely and zippers run smoothly. No added pressure on my back nor hips.
Overall, this is a 5-star baby carrier all-around.

I love this support belt for carrying kiddos around on your hip! Really secure way to keep them from slipping out under your arm, and far less stress to arm and back muscles at the same time. The support seat has a rigid internal frame that can come out (bottom zipper access) so the belt can be washed. It’s very sturdy, definitely up to the challenge of a kid you’d be willing to heft in one arm. The seat has a zippered pocket under the rigid support so you can use that space for keeping things like keys, or a pacifier! So much more efficient than the padded versions, but this is still well cushioned and comfy for both you and the baby. Then there’s a big pouch in front, also zippered, that actually fits my ginormous phone with its big flip-case, with room to spare. I’m delighted! Absolutely what you want for toting the wee one outside on a nice summer day to watch the other kiddos romp in the yard, keeping your phone and keys safe with you without needing to wear any clothing heavy enough to have pockets, or carry a bag around. Very adjustable waist, and quick to put on and take off. Every mama needs one of these.

This baby hip carrier is easy to use and a good quality as far as materials and stitching. It has velcro and snaps for security around your waist. It also has a nice amount of pockets for storage. My kiddo felt secure sitting on it but do keep in mind you have to hold onto the baby the whole time as there is no strap to secure them on. Not a big deal but don’t let the seat give you a false sense of security. It helped alleviate the pressure on my hips. I preferred the front facing orientation versus the side facing as on the side I felt like I was shifting my weight. Overall though its a nicely made hip carrier and makes it more comfortable to hip carry your little one.

this is something you dont think about putting on your registry but you definitely need! such a great way to carry your baby/toddler without all the weight and load being on your arms. this tightly wraps around your waist and puts the childs weight on your back which is very comfortable. it attaches to you with velcro and a click seatbelt aswell providing a very secure closure. fits a wide variety of body frames and sizes!
perfect for mom or dad or any other family member whos holding your kiddo. it also has a pocket to hold a small amount of necessities. add it to baby shower gift!

This baby carrier is super simple to use and easy to put on yourself if no one else is around.
I have struggled to find a carrier that will easily carry my fussy 3 month old (15lb 3oz) due to his weight/size whilst also offering the support he still requires. However, this one fits the job just right offering different ways of carrying your baby to suit. I also know that I have different options as he grows, which means that it should last for a good few years.
Normally my baby will not settle in a carrier but he absolutely loves this. He appears to be really comfortable and loves being close to Mum. He can happily sleep while I carry him around. It enables me to keep my hands free and there’s no need for a bulky pushchair. It’s great for walks around the forest, I’ve found, where a pushchair wouldn’t be ideal.
The pocket on the bottom is super handy if you’re going for a walk but do not also want to carry a changing bag. There is plenty of space for nappies and wipes. It’s a great addition! Plus the grey that I chose is “air mesh” making it light and comfortable in the warmer weather.
Currently priced at £79.99 but with a 15% off voucher available, I have found this to be great value compared to other similar carriers on the market.

Babies get BIG fast! And, they like to be carried around all the time! Once baby gets a little bigger, it’s often harder to carry them all the time without some assistance. That’s where this baby seat comes in. The seat is like a belt that wraps around your waist. The belt velcros closed and is adjustable. I’m 5’6″ and 130 lbs and the belt fits nicely and there is LOTS of room available so I’m sure it will fit a variety of sized individuals. The belt is easy to clean. Well-made and sturdy!

I have tried Hip seats before but found these to be too much hassle as you still need to hold on to baby. When my little one was under a year we used a baby bjorn front facing carrier for pretty much everything and after one an osprey backpack for walks.
I really like that this hip seat comes with the additional harness. This makes it practical and functional. She loved having a seat to sit on and seemed to find this comfortable. The seat can be used on its own or combined with the harness by zipping it together.
My daughter is 16 months and in 12 month old clothes. The harness was a perfect size for her with room to grow. We needed to fold the front flap down so she didn’t chew it. I’m 5’7 and found the carrier to be comfortable to wear, but it is quite long, I’m not sure if it would work as well for petite people.
The build quality is good for the price (£71 with an additional 15% off). It feels safe and durable. It also looks good. I wasn’t quite as impressed with the straps. Adjustable material straps would have been better quality. But this mumcozy carrier is less than half the price of some of our other carriers with better straps. The quality is good enough for the price. It also has good adjustment.
I personally love the light grey colour, but will admit it’s not the most practical! Overall this is a good carrier. It is not top of the range, but it is comfortable for baby and I. It’s easy to put on and get off and for the price I would say it’s 5*.
