    Does what it says

Makes a decent coffee and easy to use. Wand will only steam the milk to boiling, not froth it so a bit disappointing.

Great little coffee machine. The milk steamer works well. My only criticism is that the space between the coffee dispenser and the drip tray is a little tight for conventional size mugs.

I was so happy with this coffe machine in the beginning but after 3 months the milk frother stopped working so disappointing

I sent the last coffee machine back (different make) as it didn’t work right and was a bit nervous buying a replacement and an automatic type but this one works great and produces lovely coffee very easily. Good easy to follow instructions and very easy cleaning facility. Let’s hope it stays working OK but at the moment I love it and would recommend it, oh and the Amazon Returns was a bargain, it was obviously unused just a small scratch on the side and a nice surprise they gave me a further discount at checkout down to just £88 which must be a bargain!

Being a coffee snob with newly limited counter space, I’ve come to this ‘compact’ purchase from the large-heavy-expensive espresso maker side rather than from the pod-machine side. Compared to a full-sized machine this one seems light and flimsy. It shakes when it makes, and you have to put a finger on it so the vibrations don’t send a small mug rattling off the tray. It also splashes a lot outside the machine because its surface area is smaller than normal machines. Sometimes it makes fine coffee (although, as others have said, lacking crema) and sometimes the pressure seems a bit low: if you press the two-cup button, one or the other side occasionally seems to be clogged or moving the water through in a drip-drip-drip rather than a flow. It also seems to think I need to descale it after ca 10 uses rather than 500, as it says in the manual (I do have hard water, but probably not that hard). After resetting the descaling sensor as detailed in the manual it seems to be working fine again, so we’ll see – looks like this has been a problem for at least one other reviewer.

[Edit: Have now got used to this machine and learned its ways, and am finding that it works reliably and well aside from a bit of splashing and having to remember to hold the cup steady or it’ll vibrate off the tray.]

I’m not having much luck finding a reasonably priced machine that takes ese pods and has a steam wand. Good espresso but frother poor with not enough pressure. Making froth seperarely defeats the object. Machine returned.
