Not sure if this is the same thing but my webcam, disappeared a month after use…and i could not bring it back…. until i discovered that the lid of the camera has a slider to hide the camera. It’s very very easy to miss and its not very easy to spot even when you look for it. I must of accidentally slid the cover over the camera – doing so and the laptop acts like you never had a camera in the the first place. The fix? unslid the cover – works perfectly again!

Initially the laptop appeared exactly what I hoped for, great graphics, good battery life, fantastic speed and responsive to pen. However, after 2 months of use, and just before an online meeting, all of a sudden the web camera “disappeared”. Nothing could bring it back, the drives also disappeared so no easy fix. Keyboard seemed to indicate a failure of the motherboard. Complete factory reset didn’t help. Checking online it seems this is a common issue. Shame as I really thought this was going to be a great laptop. To be fair to Amazon, after proving I had discussed with the manufacturer the issues and no solution was possible, a full refund and easy collection was set up.
