It is a lightweight portable mini grass cutter and plant trimmer. Yes, it will trim grass and cut back thin stems on roses and shrubs. The blades are well made look to be made of steel and are sharp enough. Changing blades is difficult to master the secret is flexing the blade upward and keeping it parallel to the body. Be careful because the drive cogs that activate the blades are only plastic and could be the weakest link in the power train. Replacing a blade is easy it just slides in. Safety device is a contact breaker a steel clip pin that slots in to complete the circuit if it is not in place the trimmer won’t work. Beware it falls out of its slot and easily lost…we know… remedy attach a cord to it and wrap around your wrist. Charging is easy and straightforward the included instructions are good and even available to download etc. It works and it is a useful tool ideal for trimming grass around a grave and light work in the garden. A chain saw and standard hedge trimmer it isn’t.

Brilliant. Bought to clear long grass from a steep bank that’s too steep to mow or even strim safely. Did a great job and meant I could go round shrubs and plants without damaging them. Very impressed by what it achieved and how long the battery lasts. Also use to edge my lawn which comes up to rockery stones, so much better than constantly having to replace strimmer cord every time it touched a rock. The blades are seriously sharp!

Bought the 12v very impressed cut the grass fantastic and very quick takes a bit to get use to getting it straight with it being hand held, but second go spot on haven’t used the hedge cutter yet though.

Nice little gadget, only used twice but so far seems okay. A great price compared to others, it’s fairly light and cuts okay, doesn’t really like anything more than a centimeter thick. I only bought this as lost charger for my bosh, a new charger was actually more money than this. Easy to use, easy to charge, just don’t lose charger.

Lightweight with good instructions included. I’ve only used the hedge trimmers, and I’ve had to learn the best way to achieve the look and cut I wanted on my box hedges. I cut them yearly, so they are quite long and the trimmer did a good job of slicing through the more hardened stems. It hadn’t cut the hedge as close as I can with manual shears but I’m happy with the look. I may even give them a trim earlier now that I know how easy this could be. The build is sturdy enough and the battery charge lasted longer than my energy! Cleaning is always a chore but I found a little spray of Elbow Grease worked wonders and I used kitchen roll to wipe off any green residue. I did oil the blades regularly during use. The only negative is that my thumb got weary of holding down the button underneath that keeps it in the On position and at times I had to concentrate on that. But when I’d had enough, I stopped for a quick cuppa and put the trimmer on to recharge before starting again. I would recommend this, for the money, and have already had my moneysworth. Pictures show partly finished hedges and the trimmer after cleaning.
