Let me start by saying I’m not a coffee connoisseur.
If the coffee beans aren’t ground finely enough, what comes out of the machine doesn’t really taste like coffee to me.
When I tried with a finer grind, the result was much more bitter than a regular cup made with a French press.
Overall rating: 3 out of 5 (I’d give it a 4 for camping purposes)
Battery life: Surprisingly good! We haven’t tried the water heating feature yet, but we got 10 cups out of one charge and still haven’t had to recharge.

I love coffee, and have a variety of devices for brewing a cup.
K-cups yep, nespresso yep, cold brew yep, french press yep, but I did not have a way to make espresso shots.
This is awesome!
If I am at home I can use my hot water dispenser, or heat up my electric kettle, and brew a shot in seconds.
If I am out and about, or just busy at my desk and still want a hot shot, I just add the water in the top. put my coffee of choice in the bottom, and press the button.
it heats the water, and then exspresses my shot directly into the cup that conveniently screws onto the bottom.
It takes a few minutes (about 5) to heat water, but if you are in your car or camper or at the office, or even just at your desk multitasking, it is great.
Add water, coffee, screw the cup on and just let it heat and brew into the cup.
Then just gently remove the cup and enjoy your shot.
I plan on taking this with me anytime I leave the house.
The pods are small and easy to carry, so as long as I keep it charged, or have the charger (which is proprietary) but runs off a USB plug, I only need to provide water.
It is easy to use, and clean up.
It all fits together in one nice unit, that is smaller than most thermoses and is just super convenient.
I am going to rearrange my small travel pack, so that it has a place next to my mechanical keyboard whenever I am out working.
I am also thinking about how I can pack it when I am out enjoying a bike ride so I could stop, make a cold shot for a boost and keep on going.
I am really, really thrilled with this, and wish I had gotten one sooner.

Portable Espresso Maker, 20 Bar Mini Travel Coffee Maker with USB… I ordered this little espresso maker for an extended road trip with an RV. Sure I could open up the camper and use my actual countertop espresso machine, but this little guy has made that no longer necessary.
The espresso you make in this cool device will only be as good as the coffee you use. The information on the item page expressly states “（Not take Nespresso pods）”, whether it’s a fit or function problem I’ll never know, but I’ve never found pods of any kind yet that actually produce a good espresso. That having been said – I used espresso ground (almost a powder) espresso roast, packed into the provided ‘pod’ as demonstrated in the item video and have had two fabulous cups of espresso this morning.
The device is easy to use either from cold water heated in the device, or hot water added to the device – I tried both and as per the instructions, the version made with preheated water was better than the one made with water heated in the device. Totally drinkable, but the preheated version was definitely better.
Lightweight, compact and all-in-one, I can see me even taking this backpacking – I carry a small solar/crank rechargeable battery pack – the extra weight is worth the benefits. I will update this review if needed but for now I am super-pleased with this awesome little device.

This is such a cool idea for travel. I love that the coffee pot is rechargeable, which means you can use it camping, hiking, hotels, skiing, sledding. The “maker” is about the size of a small thermos. IT comes with everything needed to make an amazing cup of coffee. You can use pods, (FYI: not Keurig), or brew with fresh grounds. The device can be used with hot water, or if you want it can warm the water for the coffee. This process does take a few minutes, but it is well worth the wait. The coffee is perfect. My only complain is that you don’t get much coffee. It fills the clear plastic cup in the picture about half full. So, you will need to brew a few times to get a full regular size cup. But, it’s definitely worth it.
