Like the strong structure, waterproof. Managed to put it together by myself in couple of hours (43 yo woman). Only downside is that lid has a dent on it. Does not affect the use of the box. Can’t be bothered to ask for replacement. Using it already in front of my house for pram, wellies, etc. After a few weeks of rain still dry inside. Very spacious. Recommend

Really nice garden storage box and matches our pergola perfectly. Perfect size for our patio with room for our lawnmower and other garden tools. Waterproof.
Only complaint is that it took me an afternoon to build it. Very awkward to build as the screw holes don’t align very well. Couldn’t have done it without a drill, I don’t think. Tip: Only tighten up the screws at the very end to leave room for adjustment.
Other than that, we’re very satisfied with the box.

This really really tested my patience to build the instructions are not really the best but you can work it out easy enough. The issue is aligning the holes getting towards the end it’s very hard to do on your own as you need to align 3 holes then put in a screw and a 3rd hand would be helpful at this point. I would also recommend using a drill as I found you could not get some of the screws all the way in with just a screwdriver (supplied).
Now it is together I think it seems like a decent box however right up until the end of the build I felt it going to be very flimsy and cheap but it all comes together at the end.

It stayed waterproof I am not totally sure it will stay totally dry but I shall give it time.
I think it’s a decent size and we have it stored out the front of our farm house to store wellies and the post man can use it to pop in parcels as long as it’s not locked.
So to summarise, if you was to walk into a shop and buy this fully built I’d say you wouldn’t have any issues but building it isn’t too fun. I have dropped a star due to the building side of things and nothing else.
I hope this honest review helps you with your decision.

I ordered this garden storage unit because a) you really can never have enough garden storage and b) I so sometimes feel a little guilty about the eventual environmental impact of the disposal of the large plastic garden storage units and sheds that are so popular at most garden centres and DIY superstores. This unit is mainly metal and so should be easily recyclable when no longer required – that made me feel a little better about ordering this unit in preference to a plastic one.

It comes flat packed – and is quite a heavy package. You get all of the parts (of course) plus a few of the tools that you will require (screwdriver, spanner, Allen key etc) and a card full of nicely identified screws and bolts and washers etc. You also get a pair of working gloves – and you very quickly understand why they have included these!

The instructions are reasonably clear (although they could be a bit clearer as I went wrong a few times – first I had the base upside down (there is nothing in the instructions that makes it clear which way up the base should be – the large “A” should be facing down) and secondly the instructions do not clarify which way round the side panels should be fitted – and so I placed the reverse/hinge carrying panels the wrong way round the first time).. both errors of which added to the construction time.

And it’s the construction time that is a problem with this storage box – it takes a 3-4 hours (minimum) to construct. I’ve put together lots and lots of flat pack items – some of them quite complex but I have never had to deal with an item as complex and as fiddly time consuming as this. Maybe the few false starts mentioned earlier added 20 – 30 minutes to the process but regardless of this, it is one of the most difficult (the panels are hard to control and position because they are quite “bendy” until they are secured all round they are hard to control and secure in place) items I have ever had to put together. Lots and lots of tiny screws have to be used to secure different parts together – the screws are small, many of the holes for the screws are difficult to access and this is made more difficulty by the bendy panels. I’ve put together some of the plastic garden storage boxes in 15 minutes or so – the panels simply click (and/or kick) into place, but this is much more complicated and difficult to manoeuvre.

You also very very quickly realise why the sellers have included a pair of safety gloves – the galvanised steel panels are extremely sharp in places and because of the necessary handling and pushing/shoving of the panels in order to get them to align, you will almost certainly cut yourself if you don’t wear the provided gloves when you are constructing the storage box.

All of the side panels are covered with a kind of sticky cling film that I assume is there to protect the surface during transit and construction – however it is a pain to remove after construction and adds another 30 minutes to the build time.

Once it is constructed and the sticky film removed this is a really nice looking garden storage box and it feels strong and weather proof. It’s pretty large too and has a very useful 450litre storage capacity. It has some built in “castors”/rollers that are helpful as you are moving the box into place and some handles for pulling it around too.

Your choice I guess – your can get a plastic storage box that you can knock together in 15 minutes and will forever look plastic and is likely to end up as landfill at some point or you can choose a storage box like this .. its tough and time consuming to put together but it looks way better than any plastic storage box and can ultimately be re-cycled when its useful life is over. I’ve given it 4 stars instead of 5 because it deserves 5 stars once it is complete but it’s not that straightforward to construct so have deducted a star.

If you do buy this garden storage box here are a few top tips – put down a sheet (or the cardboard it comes packed in) as a work surface – you are going to loose several screws/washers as you try to put them in place and using a sheet as a base will help you to find them. Have a few small screwdrivers handy to use to push into some of the screw holes to lever the panels into place so that you can insert the screws correctly. Try to use a magnetic screwdriver as this will help you to position the small screws more easily (the supplied screwdriver is not magnetic). Have an electric drill available with a small metal drilling bit for the holes that you simply cannot align. Wear the gloves provided – metal panels are hard to manipulate and are very sharp at the edges. Put aside half a day for completing the construction.

This Box arrived last week and is still not assembled, shockingly poor engineering, screws don’t fit the intended fittings and flimsy sides and ends are very difficult to marry up and overall an astonishingly bad experience.
I am full of buyers regret.

    Do not buy!

It’s flimsy and it’s cut wrong with missing holes and nothing lines up, it’s impossible to build. I had to make new holes in some places but couldn’t in others. The hinges are impossible to put on so the lid doesn’t close properly because I can’t be inside the b9x pushing on the flimsy metal and outside the box screwing the screw.

If I had bought this I would 100 percent be returning it!

    Minus stars!

Bought for storing horse feed. Great box when put together, fiddly screws and the odd screwhole that didnt align properly, but that was easily overcome. very flimsy whilst constructing but very sturdy when complete. Took about 3 hours and 2 people to build but worth the effort. Perfect for storing my horses feed in bags, holds upto 6 bags of feed, ideal if you have more than one or two horses.

This garden storage box offers a generous 450-litre capacity, perfect for organizing tools, cushions, or other outdoor essentials. The dark grey finish adds a modern touch, making it a visually appealing addition to any garden or patio.

Once assembled, it looks great and feels durable. The wheels and handles make it easy to move, and the lockable design adds security. A practical and stylish solution for outdoor storage.
