I left my previous review below that details my views and experience with this product.
HOWEVER, the customer service team was very eager to get in touch with me and get my input on these views. I expressed these with them and they have been sincerely apologetic about the issues. They assured me that these views will be taken into account and the engineering team will be working to amend the issues. The customer service team was prompt and respectful and they did reimburse me for the product despite me saying I was going to keep it.
I kept and continue to use this product because it does look nice, its much nicer looking than other electric kettles out there; the black color really matches our kitchen décor. Despite the temperature not being as precise as it states, it is easy enough to find the right setting and use it every time. It is very quick to boil water when boiled water is needed. It is nice to have a customer service team dedicated to their product, they reached out to me to remedy the situation. There was no action on my behalf and that is always appreciated!
I have fallen down a coffee rabbit hole and I was very excited to use this product for my brews. One of the main reasons why I chose this product (over the MANY other options out there!) is that this was advertised as having a built in stopwatch along with its precision of +/- 1C in the temperature control.
Both of those are completely false. There is no stopwatch function with this product. As much as I was hoping to utilize that to time the steeping of my grinds; I can get over it, as I have that function on my phone. As for the temperature control function, it is nowhere close to +/- 1C. Using my instant read kitchen thermometer and an instant read thermocouple I found the temperature to be off anywhere from 5C to 7C! That is nowhere close to the precision advertised.
The cleaning recommendation is 500mLs of lemon juice… 500mLS!? That is well over 10 squeezed lemons! That seems like an absurd recommendation for cleaning, you couldn’t suggest maybe distilled vinegar!?
This product is easy to use each time for the quick boil function, but if you want to heat back to the set time point it is not as straight forward. Even though the unit will keep the previous time point saved, it wont automatically start heating there. You need to press the +/- button and set the temperature again before it will actual heat.
Overall I am pretty disappointed with this purchase. There are MANY other options out there with better precision, ease of use, and actually meet the advertisement claimed. I would return this product if I knew it wasn’t going to be thrown out and tossed in a landfill; unfortunately , I cannot feel confident in that. I was primarily going to use it for pour overs and I have found a setting that will give me that desired temperature. I plan to keep it set at that and utilize it because if I am being honest, that is still quicker than boiling a pot of water myself and watching it like a hawk until it gets to the temperature I am targeting.
Do yourself a favor and look for a different product.

Order 12th April, initially loved it, looks great and performed well however the past couple of weeks it’s been spitting hot water out the holes in the top even when filling way lower than the max fill line, the only way to avoid this is to stop it before it reaches 75 degrees so suspect the thermostat may have failed, contacted support via email but no response, would love to get this resolved! Update, the supplier has contacted me now to resolve which is much appreciated!

I’ve owned many different water kettles the past 15 years. This Paris Rhône model is the best on three vectors:
FIRST, it has the stylish refinements of other kettles selling for 2x or 3x more! Feels great in your hand, durable finish, quality materials.
SECOND, it is fast! With 1200W this kettle will reach your set point MUCH faster than the typical 1000W you’ll see when shopping. I was surprised the big difference +200W makes – and my “pro tip” is to encourage anyone comparing kettles to exclude all the 1000W kettles. Trust me, the extra 20% is mighty transformational.
THIRD, the compact shape and the design of the gooseneck is better than the other kettles I’ve owned or tried. What I mean by “better” is the hot water flows out of the spout in balance – it’s neither too fast or too slow – something I found frustrating with some other kettles.
As a final bonus, I had questions and the Paris Rhône company was super responsive answering my questions about kettle operation that wasn’t clear in the simple documentation shipped inside the package. I feel they prioritize customer satisfaction, even when selling through a third party online retailer. After seeing their website, I noticed they sell a range of appliances so I’ll keep my eye on this brand in the future.

It looks nice, quality seems decent and water heats up reasonably fast.
But the temperature control is nonsense — see the other review that includes a video of the temperature check for more confirmation. I tried even setting the target temp to 65C and could hear the water boiling by the time the temperature reading said just 50C. Measured the temp with a food thermometer and it was indeed >90C. Tested multiple times.
No point getting a temperature controlled kettle if it can’t actually do it

Happy I bought it. Boils the water really fast and I have leave for a set temperature to refill my tea exactly how I want it. I have not checked how much it costs to keep it running but I am only using the holding temperature for an hour or so a day.

I was looking for a kettle with the stay warm feature and came across this beauty! The gooseneck design combined with the lovely dark green colour sold it for me. I wanted it for when I’m wfh and ideally to put in the office. The smaller size appealed as it’s just me using it, it can also stay warm for either 1 or 24 hours, it has temp control but it’s not something I need, the 4 preset program temps are fine for me (I only use one which is for coffee! 😅). It boils pretty quickly with the temp being displayed at the same time and as an added bonus it’s pretty quiet too, certainly quieter than my regular kettle. As it starts to reach the desired temp it seems to slow the pace down a touch which in turn almost eliminates any noise, clever feature. Price wise it’s more than I would normally spend but I am very happy with it, it feels solid and well built and will hopefully last a good while.

I was primarily interested in this kettle to help elevate my coffee making skills in using a V60. Having a controlled pour was something our existing kettle was lacking in.
I also liked that this kettle had a digital display of temperature and was controllable to the exact temperature you need. It also helps get to the correct temperature for my wife’s fruit teas.
The kettle has impressed me and I enjoy using it. The colour is a very dark green, more emerald in colour than a lighter green. So it would be wise for you to check the colour you need to compliment your kitchen. Of course this is only cosmetic, but important for some I am sure.
The kettle holds around 3 cups worth of water at maximum level, so this is also something to keep in mind. If you need to boil large amounts of water quickly, you may need to seek other options. I have found that this kettle draws less electricity than our old one, at around 1.9kWh. Thus it is slower to boil, but does so in a more controlled manner.
Overall, for tea and coffee making, this device will certainly help elevate your drinks.

I contacted customer support and I had the luck to deal with Lynne which was a superstar, she assisted me with the issue and sent out a replacement quickly. I bought this to replace my Oxo electric gooseneck kettle after the handle started to come loose and I actually like it better, which is saying a lot considering the general quality of Oxo products.
After shopping around a bit, this was one of the only 1L electric gooseneck kettles I could find that wasn’t astronomically expensive, so I decided to give it a try. Amazon had multiple coupons that I was able to apply towards this purchase to bring the price down even further.
Aesthetic: The kettle looks great on the countertop. The matte-black finish and round handle give it a look of subdued elegance. The base is a large matte-black square with rounded corners. The display is bright and easy to read, and goes black when not in use.
Quality: I haven’t had it for very long, but so far it feels light yet sturdy, with no play in the handle or the gooseneck, and no leaks. The base is large and sturdy. The lid is small and light with a silicone gasket that makes it easy to pop on and off with one hand, yet remains securely in place when pouring. The kettle pops on and off the base for easy one-handed use. After daily use for about a month, the stainless steel interior still looks brand new with no signs of corrosion or staining. I use filtered water and let it dry between uses.
Use: For general use, it requires two button clicks to start (“on” and then “boil” or “hold temp”). The “boil” button will bring the water to boiling and then turn off. The “hold temp” button will bring the water to the user-specified temperature and hold it there (it will eventually turn off, I believe after an hour). Any temperature (I believe from 100F to 212F) may be set and it will remember the last setting, so no need to specify the temperature each time. At full capacity (1L), it takes only a few minutes to boil. It’s not as fast as my old Oxo, but that’s fine. It has built-in boil-dry protection which will cause it to turn off if it detects a low water level. The shape of the gooseneck spout and its tip give the user a high degree of control, even when pouring from a full kettle. I actually find it significantly easier to control and aim than my old Oxo. It is a snap to get the exact amount of water precisely where you want it, which is essential for making a good cup of pour-over coffee.
One thing I found lacking, that I had become used to, is a built-in timer. This isn’t such a big deal, as I can use my phone, watch, stove, or microwave timers for this purpose, but it would be a nice and easy to include feature. The power cord is very short (this is on purpose for safety), so you will need to ensure you have counter space immediately beside an outlet.
Overall, this is a high-quality, great-looking product that is a pleasure to use, and you won’t find anything comparable at this price point (except maybe some off-brand cheap copy).
