    Very flimsy lid which doesn’t fit down properly. Works ok but If lid not fully closed then the kettle doesn’t switch off. Then dangerous. If I had not thrown the box away I would return it.

    This kettle initially works well, boils quickly and well. However once you have had it for a while it just doesn’t boil properly any more. The kettle just stops getting to boiling point, but the switch does not click off, so it will randomly just start boiling again at some point during the day if you do not turn it off. We have been lucky in that we have noticed when this has happened as sometimes the kettle is empty when it decides to turn back on which is clearly a safety hazard. We bought this kettle in Dec 2023, i complained to the company about this issue after having the kettle for less than 7 months, they kindly sent a replacement, but the same issue has occurred with this one which is 8 months old. So do not waste your money or time as you will have a decent kettle for a few months but it clearly has a design fault which has not been rectified.

    If only –

    Bought this to run off my solar generator and it works a treat. Some reviews say it leaks when pouring, well all kettles do if you tip it too far otherwise its a normal kettle.
