Sorry for the headline joke, but I’ve still never experienced the perfect toaster – and this is no exception. In fact, my daily toaster cost more than double this and it toast’s bread similarly – which is good news for those interested in this item. I think it does well at looking good on the countertop (fingerprint magnet though as are all black products) and doesn’t take up a huge amount of space – obviously, it only toasts two slices! To be honest very rarely do I ever do 4 slices at once in my other toaster as by the time you’ve gotten to spread anything on it and eat it, 2 of them would be cold. It does have wide slots as advertised and I really like the re-heat function. Having a 2 year old mean’s I’m running back and forth getting distracted, and I’m left with cold toast. So this is super handy without re-toasting and potentially burning the bread. The lift function I think is essential these days for just keeping a check on it. Alas though, it does not toast evenly and is a bit hit and miss, but this is no different to any other toaster I have tried. 1 star knocked off really because it’s too expensive at £59.99. It’s currently on offer for £39.99 and I think it’s worth that and could recommend.

Unreliable, toast’s uneven and the release mechanism jam’s. I have not had any evenly toasted bread.The slots don’t fit Warburtons bread unless you cut over an inch off.In all ,it’s a waste of money, avoiding this toaster would be advisable.

First off £60 for a 2 slot toaster, you got to be kidding right. Seems not and I would not pay that just to toast 2 slices of bread and it does not toast evenly either and while I’m on the subject why don’t manufactures make a toaster deep enough to take a standard loaf of bread, part of the top of a standard loaf is poking out the top which means once it pops you need to turn the slices over to toast the top quarter and then it’s a juggling act to hopefully not burn the already toasted part of the bread. The toaster looks nice but buttons feel like cheap plastic and considering this price I would expect better quality. I had this toaster as part of the vine program to review and could buy a much better toaster than this at half the price. 3 stars as it looks nice in the kitchen but it’s not in my opinion fit for purpose.
