   Nicely designed kettle, boils water quickly and pours cleanly. I like the fact it has ‘Russel Hobbs’ embossed on the front, rather than printed on. Two slight disappointments, one – it is very loud, so much so it is virtually impossible to have any sort of conversation anywhere near it. Two – the water level is very difficult to see in the front viewer, particularly when condensation has built up inside.
   Other than that, very happy with my purchase.

   This Russell Hobbs stainless steel kettle has minimal plastic in touch with the water; it boils quickly; holds 1.7 litres and pours perfectly. Everything you need from a jug kettle. We’ve owned this kettle for about 6 months so far and it’s excellent and much better than a JL Everyday version we had before. It boils fast: 2 cups in well under a minute, and it’s really not that noisy – it’s probably noisier than a plastic kettle, but not an issue at all.

   My tip would be to boil it first and pour the water away, whilst it’s still quite warm, you can them remove the pointless red plastic cup measuring/indicator and the plastic scale filter (if you don’t want more plastic in contact with your boiling water). We always use filtered water in our kettle so there is hardly any scale at all over the past 6 months of use.

   It pours absolutely perfectly with no drips. The lid opens wide so it’s easy to fill from the tap or filter jug if that’s what you use. The switch seems fine, we rarely let it boil until it turns itself off anyway, so that’ll hopefully add to its longevity. The cordless base has a reasonable amount of flex which can be coiled away underneath. It’s a pity the water level indicator is only on one side, but it’s pretty easy to get used to and work out exactly the correct amount to boil for however many cups you are making.

   It’s obviously not worth the ludicrous £42+ RRP, but is often on a good offer, we purchased it for well under half the list price on Amazon.

   I trust the Russell Hobbs brand and always find their kettles to be reliable and of good quality.

   I’m giving four stars and not five because the style of on/off switch on the kettle has broken on our last two similar kettles (each time just outside the 24 month extended guarantee period), rendering otherwise perfectly working kettles useless. (The last Kettle was Russell Hobbs and the one before a different brand but with similar style switches). It is also very noisy when heating up.

   What I love is the easy opening lid for filling and the fantastic poring spout. It’s also a cool design which looks good on the worktop.

   I chose it because the price was good and it was made by a manufacturer I trust.

   Buon bollitore ad un prezzo decisamente buono. Forse il look non è dei migliori ma per quello che deve fare va bene così. Scelto perché è in acciaio ( prima ne avevo uno in plastica della stessa marca) Consigliato.

    My kettle blew a fuse recently, so I needed a replacement urgently. I’m delighted with this. A great design, with interesting details such as the on/off switch. Makes a bit of a noise initially but that’s no problem for me. Solid & stable.
    Boils rapidly.
