Russell Hobbs is a brand that has a reputation for good products and reliability. This Air Fryer seems to be consistent with that.

The Air Fryer is a decent size in terms of the cooking capacity, offering up 8.3L in its single tray. It is touch operated on the front panel and there are nine pre-set options available depending on what you are cooking. The maximum available cooking temperature is 200C which is fairly standard and adequate.

The device itself has an attractive physical appearance, with the product description of ‘sleek black and Champagne’ being accurate. The champagne refers to the branded flash across the middle and the drawer handle, both of which look good and break up the otherwise all black casing.

The display is very clear and informative, with the touch buttons well laid out around the edges of the display.

The air fryer performs well and cooks food with a minimum of fuss. It doesn’t have the benefit of a dual-tray design like some other models, however this is reflected in the cost which for me is very good value for money for a good air fryer from a trusted brand.

The “Satisfry” (Horrible name btw) Air Fryer impresses with its smart design and user-friendly features. The sleek black exterior, complemented by champagne accents gives it a sharp look and it blends in nicely with my kitchen (My previous one had pearl accents and stood out). Its generous 8.3-litre capacity is perfect for preparing meals for both small and large gatherings. It’s fantastic for just me when I want a huge portion of chips, or if I am cooking for 2 there is plenty of space to cook full meals.
The digital touchscreen is intuitive to use, making it easy to select from the nine pre-set cooking functions, including options for chips, steak, fish, vegetables, pizza, and chicken. The adjustable temperature range from 40°C to 200°C typical for most air fryers in the price point and I find it more than adequate for pretty much all of my cooking needs.
Cleanup is straightforward, being dishwasher-safe with a non-stick fry basket. Overall, this air fryer is in my opinion the best one I have yet to try. It is simple to use, heats up VERY fast, has a huge capacity, looks great in the kitchen and isn’t too loud.
I usually try to avoid basic, simple reviews that just highlight the positives, but honestly at this price point (£79.99 at time of review) this is nothing but 5 stars for me.

This Russell Hobbs Air Fryer is a great upgrade over my old one and the main feature for me is that this holds a lot more food! My old air fryer was spacious but it had a central core that rotated and took up a lot of space, which meant that you could only cook small items.

This air fryer can indeed cook several decent sized baking potatoes, with a maximum temperature of 200c, which is fine with me. Another big plus is that it’s dishwasher safe!

There are several different functions you can programme but frankly, I just set the temperature and time and off you go.

Overall: easy to use, cooks well, good size, looks smart. Love it!

✅ Very light for its size.

✅ Much bigger than my 4L fryer but doesn’t take much more counter space.

✅ Cooks well. French fries in 10 minutes from frozen. Soft but not undercooked. For crispy, give them another few minutes.

    ✅ Easy to use controls.

✅ Stuff behind the air vent at the back, about 4-5 inches away, did not heat up at all. Even less counter space needed.

➗ Does not have an auto preheat. The manual says to just set the timer to 5 minutes to preheat.

⛔ The whole display turns off when pulling the basket out, and takes a few seconds to reinitialize when you put it back in, so you can’t see how long is left.

This air fryer from Russell Hobbs comes nicely protected in cardboard packaging. The crisping plate is kept separate, but the rest comes as a single unit.

The body of the air fryer is a mix of shiny black plastic at the top, a carbon fibre-effect brushed black plastic body, and rose gold accents on the handle and below the display.

The shiny black section looks nice initially, but is a magnet for dust and fingerprints. The rest of the body also attracts dust, but to a lesser degree.

There is a captive mains cable which is rather short. There are cable storage clips on the underside which help if you want to store the unit in a cupboard when not in use.

The air fryer has an internal capacity of 8.3 litres. This is all taken up by a single pan, so there is plenty of space for large food items or to spread out smaller items, although it might seem overkill for heating or cooking a couple of small items. The pan has a non-stick coating and washes easily in hot soapy water. The crisper plate fits tightly inside thanks to the silicone pads on the sides.

The maximum temperature for this 1.8kW air fryer is 200C, which is fine for baking or frying items such as chips, but lower than you might prefer to grill certain food types.

The large blue display features a number of icons for food types and controls, along with a three digit LED display for temperature and time.

Control is pretty straightforward. You can select temperature or time, and use the + and – touch buttons to set up everything before pressing the ‘go’ button. Alternatively, you can use the ‘menu’ button to choose preset cooking times and temperatures.

Opening the pan drawer pauses cooking. It restarts once the drawer is closed again without having to press any buttons.

One slight annoyance is how, during cooking when the display alternates between temperate and time remaining, it only shows a whole number of minutes left rather than minutes and seconds. So, if you return to the unit and it shows 1 minute remaining, it could really mean 1 minute or it might be 1 second. In the final minute it would be better if the display switched to showing seconds remaining.

However, the air fryer performs well. Our chips turned out every bit as good as our previous dual-pan air fryer and the large single pan means there is less shaking needed mid-cooking.
