This looks really nice and is less weighty than my previous kettle, it is not a snug fit on the base but this seems to improve with use. It is quieter than my last kettle which was so noisy you could not hear someone speak but it is not that quiet either but it does boil quick. If you need a very quiet kettle this may not be for you.
