I purchased this several months ago. The hedge trimmer (= plant sculptor) always worked intermittently, but then it stopped completely. The top cutting blade was only retracting 50% of the distance it should which meant that it didn’t cut the vegetation. I tried to return it but no returns allowed after 30 days. (Whatever happened to the consumer’s right to a product that works for a reasonable period?) Anyway, I seem to have fixed it by swapping the top plate of the trimmer attachment with the top plate of the grass cutter (= lawn shears) attachment. (Not a problem as I’ve never used the grass cutter as I can’t see the point of it). Next time I buy a Ryobi product I’ll get it from B&Q – at least I’ll get a 1 year guarantee.

Den ersätter lite häcksax och lite trimmer. Fungerar perfekt och jag använder den ofta där trimmern annars skulle stänka upp gräs och klipp som invid altanen och trallen. Lite högljud men kåpor på så stör ju inte det.

Edging the lawn has always been really annoying. Sheers are slow and awkward, but this tool is perfect. Quick, easy and effective. I find I have to wipe the blades clear of grass after a few cuts, but this isn’t a problem.

This is a great hedge cutter which is every bit as powerful as the longer, heavier ones but so much easier to use especially if, like me, your arms aren’t very strong. Would definitely recommend this product.
