An excellent alance of power and usability are happily combined in this Ryobi hedge trimmer.My hedges total approximately 30-40 metres, multiply this by three for outside top and inside of the hedging and yhis trimmer manages all on a 2ah battery. The sweeper attachment does ots job on the top of the hede stopping the cuttings cluttering up the appearance. For the vertical faces it is best removed as it does not hold any cuttings at this angle. This is a good quality, very well made, gardening tool and easily beats my previous Flymo hedger (I cut the cable on this many times). I would have no trouble with reccomending this trimmer to anyone interested in acquiring such a tool. It does help if yu are part of the Ryobi hemisere of course.

Having recently bought Ryobi’s pole mounted hedge trimmer and realised how much better it was at cutting hedges than my old mains powered jobby; and with a spare battery available from that purchase I thought I would complete the hedge cutting set with this excellent tool. My old mains powered trimmer didn’t even come close to the effectiveness of the Ryobi and I can reach all the accessible parts of the hedges around my garden on a single charge. The mains cable has always been a pain. It gets tangled and snagged and I even managed to cut through the cable on one occasion. There is none of that with battery power. Unlike its pole mounted companion, which by the nature of the beast is unwieldy, the poleless model is much better balanced and it makes light work of my mixed hedges. I wish I had bought it earlier.

I have a few Ryobi tools which have always proved to be very good, if you forgive the garish colour that is so yhought that I’d try their hedge cutter. I paired it with a 5AH “copy” battery and set about one of our big privet hedges. Within a minute or two there was a big smile on my face as it sliced through effortlessly and with it’s long blade, made a nice even finish. It wasn’t too heavy either so I was able to climb my stepladder and do the hedge tops as well. An hour later the job was done and the trimmer was still going strong on the first battery. I am seriously impressed.

Ryobi one+ does it again. Asupurb addition to my tool set. So much easier and better than my old corded hedge trimmer which I inevitably ended up cutting through the power cord on a nuber of occations in the past. Always a pain in the butt to sort out mid job. The machine is robust and the batteries I use are 5ah and they last about 25minutes running time each. Best if you have more than one but if your already invested in the Ryobi one+ range you probably already do. If your not you probably should consider it as for a home / DIY range they offer supurb value for money and versatility.

I manage a small woodland with a constant battle against brambles. Over the years I’ve tried various tools and settled on the Ryobi range to utilise the PlusOne batteries. This hedgetrimmer is one of my most used tools and I’ve had a number. They cut well, the anti-jamming is now very good, they’re much lighter than petrol equivalents, have decent battery life and are good value for money.

Pretty impressive so far. It’s light and efficient. Much less tiring to use than my petrol hedge trimmer. The battery and I got tired at about the same point. It is much easier to use than the unbalanced and cumbersome Ryobi pole hedge trimmer.
