   I bought the Samsung Galaxy A05s for my mum, and it has been the perfect choice! This factory-unlocked Android smartphone strikes the ideal balance between quality and affordability.    My first smartphone . Excellent phone I bought it in smart black . Mostly use it for taking photographs of my house
   and garden and my five young nieces and nephews . I still get them printed out using a photo-printing app . Easy to
   upload and much cheaper than using film . I glad I made the switch . An excellent brand and I have bought some flip-cases to go with it . Very pleased .

   i always buy second hand phones this new one is a first… i wanted a clean start and i only ever buy good value. This is not disappointing on day one. Bright – fast enough – clear audio – don`t forget that jack socket for old fashioned headphones – enough memory for most users maybe not gamers – solidly built. GET the bumper case with built in screen protector… DO NOT get screen protectors that you stick on. For the money best bang for buck for phones.

   For the price, this is an incredible phone. Fast, easy to use, great camera and super video options. The 60fps option and slow mo @ 120fps is something you just can’t get anywhere else at this price. Photos are superb with a professional feel to the focus. Very intuitive to use and learn different functions quickly. Screen is brilliant. Easy to find cheap accessories. Charges quickly. Connects to linux OS fine for data transfer and tethering. Only downside – it’s a bit big for my liking, especially trying to carry it round in the summer, but most manufacturers don’t seem to care about this anymore. If I could get one 30% smaller (without paying six or seven times the price), it would be the most perfect phone ever. Still, 5 stars all the way.

   I took the phone out of the box and plugged it in to charge it. Then I looked through the pile of little loose pages and the booklet, to find the warranty information. But the writing on all the pages is so small that even my daughter had trouble reading any of it! So I tried to register the phone with Samsung, thinking I would see confirmation of the 3 year extended warranty on there – but the serial number and IMEI numbers on the end of the box were even smaller and my daughter had to use a magnifying glass in order to read them! So we entered the serial number and it ‘didn’t recognise it’. Then we entered the EMEI numbers and it didn’t recognise them either!

   Next I phoned Samsung UK and the agent informed me that I cannot register the phone until I switch it on and set it up!!!! He also said that I would need to contact Amazon about the 3 year extended warranty but when I did, Amazon just passed the buck back to Samsung!!! Grrrr!!!! So, 2 hours later, I still haven’t even switched the phone on – because I didn’t want to set it all up just to find out if it really does come with the 3 year extended warranty.

   Today, I took 2 photos of my garden – one with this Samsung A05s, which has a 50mp camera and the second with my old Samsung A40, which only has a 16mp camera. I then uploaded them to my PC and I was surprised to find that the A05s photo was 96dpi and the A40 photo was only 72dpi – BUT the photo dimensions on the A40 were MUCH larger than on the A05s? AND the photo quality looked better/sharper on the A40 than it did on the A05s!!!
