Nina –
After reading internet guides as to how easy it is to transfer data from an old phone to a new one I cannot agree in the case of this phone. I followed the on screen prompts and tried to do it first by cable and then by wi-fi and every time it failed to work. It insisted on installing special software to transfer data, which then initiated a subscription fee which would kick in after three days! But this didn’t work either. I couldn’t get to open the screen with “system” on it to try anything there either. After a day or so I remembered that I had a Samsung account from years back for my TV and entering the password at one stage seemed to help. I then had access to the opening screen with various icons on. Hoping this would resolve the problem I tried again by several methods to transfer data, but still with no success.
Kept getting messages saying “disconnect VPN” even though it was disconnected, among others which indicated I had no connection between the phones even when it was on the same wi-fi. I eventually gave up and returned the phone after doing a factory reset, which I could at least do having got access to the front page! Maybe it’s me but I am fairly proficient with computers etc so I hope not. I never found a way to retrieve the backup from my old phone via my google account, which the internet suggested as one method for transfer. Very frustrating.
I am awaiting a refund still so far (6/1/25) . Probably a good budget phone, judging by other reviews, but this has put me off trying another Samsung in the near future. So can only really offer 1 star for now.

Overall good phone for the price I paid. However 2 inconvenience:
-screenshots that require holding 2 buttons at the same time and the wait of 3-4 seconds
-sometimes it does not connect when placed for charging

Great phone, bought this for my abuelo and he loves it, super easy to transfer data, sleek and modern but easy to use.
Seems to have a good battery life so far and the screen size is perfect, no lag and feels comfortable in his hands.

Great screen. Oled at this price is amazing. Very good batterylife. Feels quick when used.
Only downside is the cpu/gpu is maybe a little to weak to run the latest games in a great way. But it still runs most game just fine.

Easy to use. Not changed my phone for about ten years so I got another Samsung Galaxy but up to date thinking it will work the same. There are lot of device information now where as with my old phone it was a smart phone but no up dates, ad’s, stories etc. I’m sure it can all be removed but I’ll have to get my daugther to do it as I don’t want to take the time to do it. My grandaughter said she would have the phone so it must be a good one But the camera is good. It’s a phone.

I recently purchased the Samsung Galaxy A15 Black 4G 128GB, and it has exceeded all my expectations! This phone offers incredible value for money, combining sleek design, powerful performance, and a range of features that make it stand out in its price range.
The 128GB of storage is more than enough for all my apps, photos, and videos, and the expandable storage option is a huge bonus. The battery life is impressive, easily lasting me through a full day of heavy usage without needing a recharge. The display is bright and clear, making watching videos and browsing a pleasure.
The camera quality is also excellent for a phone in this range, capturing sharp and vibrant photos in various lighting conditions. Plus, the phone’s overall speed and responsiveness are fantastic, handling multitasking with ease.
Overall, the Samsung Galaxy A15 is a perfect choice for anyone looking for a reliable, stylish, and feature-packed smartphone without breaking the bank. Highly recommended!

If you’re not after a 5G phone then this 4G version has higher performance speeds than the A15 5G and turns out to be a really good phone.
For the benchmark people, it averages between 400,000 – 420,000 on a (V10) antutu benchmark. Which is faster than 72% of smartphones for only £100, Similar performance as a regular IPhone 8. So it’s pretty respectable.
If you would like to see if the phone has better performance than your current phone before you upgrade, you can search online your current phone model followed by Antutu benchmark and see what score it shows you, then compare to the above score to see if it’s a performance upgrade, rather than having to benchmark test the phone urself.
it’s thicker than expected but doesn’t weigh a lot, it comes with a USB-C to C cable But doesn’t have a charger with it so you’ll need a USB-C charger which most people have nowadays. if you have a normal USB charging dock then u just need a £5 USB-A to USB-C cable.
or 25W fast charger but 18W is also fine, regular charging is okay too but it’ll just take longer.
Powering the phone up, it’s fast enough to handle everything from browsing to medium gaming and the battery is good, not incredible but it’s good enough to last you the whole day in use and over 5 days while idle.
Fresh out the box, when navigating the phone it can feel a little slower than other phones with the same chipset but there’s a few options you can enable/disable to speed it up in the software so it’s more responsive like them.
(#2 works for all android phones).
1… goto settings, display and turn on “Touch sensitivity” this seems to make the screen more responsive even without a screen protector.
2… Goto settings, about phone, software information, click build number around 10x and it’ll say enabled developer mode, go back to settings, down to developer options and find drawing,
Turn off “Window animation scale”, “Transition animation scale” and “Animator duration scale”.
(this will make things open and transition faster rather than slow or useless animations, making it more snappy).
Some phones only allow you to lower this to .5x but Samsung allow you to turn this off.
3… uninstall any of the pre installed apps that you won’t use since it’s just bloating the RAM, or move apps to your SD card.
The screen is nice FHD, it also has adaptive brightness or True Tone where the screen automatically adjusts to the lighting around you to what it thinks is the best brightness for you, if you don’t like it or the screen seems to go too dark randomly, u can turn it off on the display settings.
The screen is glass, but the body is plastic so I’d recommend a case so u don’t scratch it. ideally a waterproof case since the phone doesn’t have a IP waterproof rating.
The speaker is okay, it’s not dual stereo speakers but the 1 speaker at the bottom of the phone is alright.
There’s a headphones jack so you can use standard headphones.
It supports a Micro SD card up-to 1TB.
The camera is alright, depending on how good you are with cameras etc, you’ll get some okay shots with it, there can be a little too much contrast in some pictures or a little too much exposure sometimes but the colours seem pretty accurate depending on which mode you’re using and you don’t tend to get a lot of noise.
The video stabilising isn’t very good tho.
The night mode can be a hit or miss, sometimes it’s alright and sometimes it’s a bit over saturated or noisy.
The finger prints sensor works the same as most phones. Same with the facial recognition.
It supports NFC and u can turn it on and off in the settings if you want to.
Supports Bluetooth 5.3 and WI-FI 5, dual band, hotspots, direct and display.
Has FM radio.
2 nano sim slots.
Also has a Sim eject tool in the box.
It supports fast charging and shows a status screen when you plug it in telling you how long till it’s charged, it took 90mins to charge from 30% to 100% using a 18W fast charger but Samsung say it supports up to 25W which should take 81mins from 0-100% they say.
And 0-47% in 30mins.
for the price, I think you get a lot of phone, it’s pretty solid, it’s up there with the best in its price range and potential top 3 within the under £200 range, it’ll do everything you need a phone to do, unless you require something that uses a lot of resources, like high quality gaming or big rendering apps or a high quality photography camera.
I got this as a spare for flying my fimi mini 3 drone as some android phones won’t connect to via USB-C, it connected to this phone perfectly once debugging mode was enabled.
So far, considering what u get for what you pay, I’d give this a 8.5 out of 10 for a good, fast little phone, it’s quite impressive, especially for its price, I’ll see how it lasts, if it’s performance is better than your current phone then I’d recommend it.

Great value for money! Smart Phones can cost hundreds of pounds but not this one. It does the job for a fraction of the cost of many others. So pleased at the VFM that I bought one for my wife also.
