The tablet works great—apps run smoothly without any issues. It comes with a fast-charging cable, which is a plus, but note that it doesn’t include a charging adapter. Overall, solid performance for the price

Pity there isn’t a cellular version. But otherwise it is a great tablet.

Brilliant tablet. Used for travelling as it fits in my handbag.
This is a non UK version but I set it up using South African as location and it’s absolutely fine, it hasn’t caused any issues with downloads etc. Highly recommended.

Keeps hanging, only use it for Youtubr but seems like it’s too slow for that

Very pleased with it

As others have mentioned already, perfectly fine to use in the UK. This device doesn’t have cellular as far as I can tell, nowhere to insert a sim, just an SD card slot. Funny way of opening it with the little push-in-pin included at the bottom of the box. Sad to say, but I had to look up a video about that.
At setup, select UK English, set location to South Africa (or where ever), reboots at some point, all is good. It makes no sense to buy a UK version for more money unless it comes with cellular (I don’t know), but I don’t want or need cellular on a tablet.
Android runs really smooth and fast with low latency on taps, no stuttering on scrolling. Battery life appears to be very good so far. Arrived at 58 percent; updated, played chess, watched YouTube videos etc. Down to 30% after a lot of miscellaneous use most of the day. I’m happy with that.
No charger, of course, but any 5 volt charger should be fine, amps don’t matter as they are pulled. I’m not recommending that and shall purchase a Samsung dedicated charger at some point for the fast charge option. Mean time, will slow charge via PC USB.
3.5 audio jack. Great! No Bluetooth for my brain, thanks very much.
If you’re on a tight budget, this is your best choice, it’s a fantastic tablet and perfect for my needs.

Bought this to replace my Huawei Mediapad M5 which is still going strong but is stuck on Android 9 which, despite the tablet being only 4 years old, means it won’t update (or in some cases even run) some software. Also with all the clutter that has accumulated, it’s forever telling me that the 32GB of RAM is running out.
Height, width and weight are almost exactly the same as my old M5 although it is a bit thicker. In fact until I get a new case, I’m using the old one but the lid does stick up a bit!
Pros:
1. This non-UK version was a lot cheaper but luckily the set-up wasn’t an issue at all. Despite one review saying instructions were in Chinese, I was able to select English from the very first screen. The next screen required a choice of country which seemed to be limited to the Middle East and Africa. I chose South Africa but I since read one review saying you can bypass this screen. Set-up from my old tablet was easy with only a few omissions to tidy up afterwards.
2. I like the Samsung double tap to switch the screen on and off.
3. The file manager is a lot smarter than on my previous device.
4. I like the Back, Home and Recent buttons positioned at either the bottom left or bottom right of the screen. This reduces the risk of hitting the home button instead of the spacebar when you’re typing.
5. The 64GB memory, while I guess would not be enough for some, suits me (yes I know I thought 32GB was enough last time). There is an SD socket to expand the memory further which I’ve done by transferring the SD with a lot of content from my old tablet. Sorry there is no SIM socket which one reviewer seemed to be expecting on a Wi-Fi only device???
6. There is a headphone jack which I don’t have on my old tablet or on the phone I now have. A little late as I’ve now invested in wireless buds and earphones. Connection to these is good.
7. Battery life seems OK. The specification for this device says fast charging is 15W. Using my 40W charger with the USB C cable supplied with the tablet, I get a charge from 5-10% to full in just over 2 hours. Good enough for me. You can limit the maximum charge to 85% which is supposed to extend the battery life, but given these devices become obsolete before the batteries give out I’m not sure how worthwhile this is?
Cons:
1. As with other Samsung devices I’ve used, I find the screenshot functions a bit hit-and-miss. I’ve added the “Take Screen Shot” button from the Additional Buttons menu to the Quick Panel that you can drop down from the top of the screen. Simply find the page you want to screenshot, swipe down to reveal the Quick Panel and tap the button.
2. I found the characters on the Samsung keyboard a little too small for comfort so I changed the keyboard to Swiftkey, which I prefer.
3. Internet connection speed seems to be about half of what I get from all other devices on my wi-fi and seldom above 20Mb/s. From what I read online, this is a common problem with some Samsung devices (although my S23 is fine). I contacted the supplier who suggested I do a factory reset which didn’t help. I’ve decided to keep the device, as browsing, downloading, file transfer and streaming HD content all seem to be fine despite this apparent restriction and I won’t be using it for much more. I suggest you check this out on the one you are supplied with to make sure it suits your needs before you spend too much time customising it.
All-in-all for what this non-UK version cost me, even with the little niggles, some of which I’ve sorted, I consider it to be excellent value for money. After all what more would you expect for £100 – less than ⅓ of the cost of an iPad mini?
