This is my first smartwatch and oh boy!! this changed the way I take care of my movements. I love the fact that this is extension of my smartphone – I can use this to talk, send texts and also browse the internet. Note that your mobile should be close by to do all these. I took this for a swim in the ocean and no trouble with the water resistant. My only gripe is Samsung could do something about the battery life – I have to charge it every single day.

I upgraded from my samsung galaxy watch 46mm, which I’ve had a loved for about 3 years. I love the One UI interface but the battery life is really disappointing. I know my previous watch was the larger 46mm, therefore has a bigger battery – but I’d assumed this model would have better battery due to hardware and software upgrades. Even after 3 years my old galaxy watch seems to last considerably longer. I feel like I’m constantly recharging this one.. hopefully this is improved in the new galaxy watch 5.

Ich bewerte hier die Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Classic, 42 mm.
Es ist meine erste Smartwatch, daher kann ich nicht mit anderen Uhren vergleichen.
Diese Uhr nutze ich jetzt seit zwei Tagen. Bisher bin ich rundum zufrieden, alles ist so, wie beschrieben, es gibt nichts auszusetzen.
Die Messergebnisse scheinen akzeptabel. Es sind ja keine med. verwertbaren Daten, darauf wird immer wieder hingewiesen, sondern lediglich Orientierungswerte.
Die Inbetriebnahme war unkompliziert. Smartphone und die dort installierte Software “Wearables” wurden sofort erkannt. Lediglich die Tatsache, dass alle möglichen Apps und das Betriebssystem ein update verlangten war lästig und führte dazu, dass die Uhr wegen zu hoher Temperatur eie Pause brauchte. Das mag aber daran liegen, dass ich eine refurbished Uhr gekauft habe, die evtl. schon etwas älter ist. Etwas schade ist, dass es keine Möglichkeit gibt (jedenfall hab ich bisher keine gefunden), ALEXA zu steuern. ein nettes Gimmik ist, dass man die Kamera des Smartphons fernsteuern kann.
Ich hab zwar, wie bereits gesagt keinen Vergleich, möchte aber trotzdem das wirklich tolle Display lobend erwähnen.
Hell, auch bei autom. Regelung, scharfe Konturen, knackige Farben.
Fazit: aus meiner Sicht eine wirklich gelungene Smartwatch die ich gerne weiterempfehle.

Leider reicht die Akkulaufzeit lediglich für 1 bis 2 Tage, je nach Nutzung.

Vorab: Die Uhr kam Produkt kam pünktlich und sauber verpackt an. Ladekabel und Schnellanleitung gibts als Zubehör dazu.
Die Verarbeitung ist ebenfalls sauber, die Bedienung ist ganz gut, v.a. weil man statt Scrollen auch das Außenrad drehen kann, um im Menü hinauf/runter/weiter zu kommen.
Allerdings war der Akku komplett leer.
Ich besitze mittlerweile einige Samsung-Geräte (Smartphones, Tablets,…), für gewöhnlich sind immer zumindest ein paar %chen Akku drinnen. Nun gut, angehängt, aufgedreht, ca. 10Software-Updates später war das Teil nutzbar.
Über die App Samsung Wearable ließ sich alles auf der Uhr sehr gut einstellen, es gibt viele Ziffernblätter für jeden Geschmack, usw.
Nutze sie mittlerweile seit ein paar Tagen. Und mit “Nutzen” mein ich die Uhr selbst zum Zeit anzeigen, Schrittzähler & Pulsmesser (der nicht durchgehend misst sondern alle 10Min.) sowie max. 20 Mitteilungen, die sie mir am Tag anzeigt (Anruf, WhatsApp o.ä.).
Von Schlafzyklus o.ä. gar keine Rede, ich trage sie beim Schlafen nicht. Zum Musik hören, Telefonieren, schwimmen usw. wurde sie bisher ebenfalls nicht verwendet.
Gestern und vorgestern hielt der Akku mit den paar Funktionen zumindest jeweils bis am Abend (wurde jeweils abends/nachts aufgeladen).
Heute war sie offenbar überfordert. War den ganzen Tag unterwegs: 600kal, 13.000 Schritte und 120min Bewegung hat sie gemessen. Bis sie um ca. 16:30 den Dienst akkubedingt quittierte.
Also ein Arbeitskollege, der die Uhr schon länger hat, hat mich zwar vorgewarnt, aber dass der Akku derart mager ist, hab ich nicht erwartet.
Die Uhr geht zwar nicht retour, kann vl. mal bei einer Radtour o.ä. nützlich sein (besitze nämlich 3 Powerbanks, die dann mitkommen), aber für den Alltag ist sie meiner Meinung nach unbrauchbar. Zumal das spezielle Ladegerät immer mitgeführt werden muss, da sie über eine Magnetschale aufgeladen wird, nicht über USB-C.

I bought this so that my partner would be able to track the exercise he is doing during the working day. It was a little bit awkward to set up, and required extensive permissions, but amazing once complete. There are so many apps and options and it has been worth the investment in a very short space of time. Absolutely love the product.

Very pleased with the watch, so many features and after the first couple of charges the battery will last at least 20 hrs or longer, depending on use. I have had 36hrs from a single charge.
The Wear app has a lot of flexibility and the Samsung Health app is a joy.
The wireless charger makes life so much easier than the chargers where the pins need to line up.

After a couple of hours the battery life has lost 25%, by about 5 hours it has lost 50% and after wearing it from 8am to 2pm it is down to 30%. The watch is probably very good but rendered nigh on useless due to the poor battery. I’ve not had chance to test the sleep tracking because it is on charge every night before I go to bed.
Review edited to reflect 3 weeks of ownership: I’ve turned off lots of features, always on etc and lowered the brightness and disabled or uninstalled some apps to squeeze more battery life out of it. Yes it has improved. I can now put it on in the morning and still have 20% to 30% battery life left come bed time. So I still don’t get to use the sleep tracker!

Looking for a new watch as my previous, just lost its charge within an hour.
This watch is Brilliant. Very impressed with its performance after a week.
Dispite being sent from Germany for the German market, every feature has worked with no issue.
I did have trouble with an app that would continue to fail to install to be able to use Samsung Pay. Spoke to Samsung tech and they confirmed its because its for the German market. But after talking to them and probably having a better Internet connection it worked and i have paid for things using both Google and Samsung pay.
